It's pretty clear POR has a LONG LONG way to go. Scoot and Shae are promising but have a lot of work to do if they want to be elite. We see flashes but nothing to bank on. Only way out is through the draft. Next year will probably be super bleak. But that is the league when you aren't a major destination team.

So, since we are rebuilding and Wemby is the guy teams will have to go through in a couple years, shouldn't we be looking at a center thats at least 7'2", athletic defender, in the draft? Not sure Ayton can be the guy?
Enter Alex Sarr, the guy really does look like a perfect defender for guys like Wemby and Chet. He looks quicker and faster than those two and has near the length of Chet. We'll see but if we can get him I think he gives us a chance at defending these unicorns and his handle and shot look really great he's just a bit inconsistent with his offensive tools right now. His defensive timing looks fantastic but he is playing in a much slower league.

Man, when I see games from Wemby like last night's my mind goes off on an alternate reality tangent. One stupid ping pong ball number separated the Blazers from fielding a lineup with Wemby at center, Grant at PF, Thybulle at SF, Sharpe at SG, Dame at PG, with Nurk, Ant, & Parker as key reserves. Shit.

Just listened to the Sam Vecenie podcast on the 2024 Draft. They did a mock and boy I tell you what….there isn’t much to to get excited about this year. Even if you have the #1 pick. They said Cam Witmore would EASILY be the top choice this year……ouch.

I keep telling people, this year's draft is downplayed by a lotta folks. Why ?? Because half the league gave up their 1st round picks! These rookies suck, our team is smart to take a rain check.

There is a future all star in there somewhere. There always is...

Cody Williams probably is the most likely with the highest floor. Would be ecstatic to get him.

Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart punched Suns’ Drew Eubanks in face prior to Wednesday’s game: Sources

Detroit Pistons power forward Isaiah Stewart punched Phoenix Suns power forward Drew Eubanks in the face in the back tunnels of Footprint Center prior to the teams’ matchup Wednesday, sources briefed on the matter confirmed to The Athletic. It’s unclear what sparked the altercation.

According to those sources, both Stewart and Eubanks were going chest-to-chest before a swing to Eubanks’ lip area connected. Police needed to get involved to separate the two and were called to the scene. Stewart left the arena following the altercation with members of the Pistons’ staff. The NBA is expected to receive footage to review.

“The attack on Drew Eubanks was unprovoked, and acts of violence such as this are unacceptable,” a Suns spokesperson said. “We unequivocally support Drew, and will continue to work with local law enforcement and the NBA.”

During the matchup between the two teams back in Detroit on Nov. 5, both Stewart and Eubanks were extra aggressive with one another and were verbally sparring throughout the game.

Stewart has missed the last several games with an ankle injury. He joined the Pistons on their West Coast swing to prepare for a return to play after the All-Star break. Eubanks was out warming up following the altercation and two hours before the game.

This story will be updated.

Grizzlies in close game with Rockets. Memphis can reduce their odds against Portland's draft pick.

Eubanks gets last laugh on Isaiah Stewart. Suns up 30 at halftime. Drew has 2 buckets, 2 boards, 2 steals

I know team defence is a major concern but the way Haliburton runs the Pacers makes for such a fun and fast game. Reminds me of Nash.

Pacers should've gone for OG as well. They had the assets. OG + Pascal in that lineup would've been sweet.
