He's 3 years older. He's not a good outside shooter, which teams usually want out of their PG. Russel isn't a good defender, so being less bad doesn't really amount to much of anything, he still is a bad defender. He's a PG, versus Ant playing SG, so his assist #s should look higher, different roles. When Simons has played point this year with Dame out, he's shown to be about as good as a distributor. Russel is also an expiring contract, while Ant is locked in for 4 years. I don't believe many would view them as having comparable values, personally.

I think this summary just about covers anything I would have said myself. A couple other minor notes though:

  • Simons still has some remaining untapped potential. No one would be surprised if his development continues and he becomes an even better player, or adds some new aspects to his game. I think we kind of know who Russel is at this stage of his career. I hesitate to call him a finished product, as vet savy is indeed a thing, but I think it is a mostly fitting descriptor.

  • I'll take Simons' athleticism over Russel's any day.

Russell has been passed around the league more than a fat joint. There has to be a reason why he is so tradable to his teams

I think the big difference in trade value between DLo and Ant would be that teams have to think they've seen what DLo can offer and Ant is just now starting to tap into what he has. So I would think that GMs around the league would think as good as Ant has already shown himself to be that there is still up side to him, DLo not so much.

Huevos Banchero is a lock to win ROY

Seems like ROY is often a runaway more than any other award

Wow Grayson Allen, just nut punch GTjr on a made three and raptors able to tie the game down 88 to 97

Giannis goes for 30/21/10 and no one’s impressed nowadays lol. Yawn. Luka scored 60.

That big white guy in Utah is killing it this season.

Denver is sooo good and I’m sooo jealous

I do understand that Kawhi Leonard is very talented but that guy sure doesn’t seem like really wants to play sometimes.

Sometimes? That dude hasn't wanted to play in 5 years. Lost alot of respect for him. Heard how he handled himself in Toronto.

Clippers are playing like the Blazers on national TV

As I said before, sometimes when a player accomplished their goals. Ring and Money like the Kwahi, AD and GP2, playing is just an option.

When did you say this? LINK?

The fact you put GP2 in this is so dumb.

We get it, you're not a fan of the blazers. You can drop the act now.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s parity in the league or teams just not showing up. Lots of blowouts. Bad teams blowing out good teams like the Thunder over the Celtics the other night

I actually started reading his posts this past month and I'm not sure he's dumb, but I'm quite sure he doesn't think before typing.

Bro, I was just thinking the opposite. TONS of fantastic games this season. Comebacks, down to the wire. OTs. As far as bad teams beating good teams....that's what makes a season fun.
