Nope. A defensive player of the year candidate year in, year out and he can be your #2 on offense every year. Not a lot of players like that in the league.

I wanted Adebayo that year.

FWIW I think Clingan will be alright but I don’t really care much about anyone this year.

Just out of curiosity, when people make these emotionally driven statements, how do you think an organization is run? You do get that there is a room filled with highly qualified intelligent people who work on these things together, yes? He is not sitting by himself making phone calls, looking for deals. Sorry, this sort of thing just really annoys me. Joe Cronin is a sharp dude and a thoughtful communicator, which are the two ingredients to being a good leader. They're fine.

Well sure, I remember when the Lakers signed all those one year vets a few seasons ago in Dwight Howard, Rondo, Melo, with all the bets put on them to win the title and they ended up in the lottery.

Not sure what kind of argument your trying to make when none of GS or either LA team won a playoff series - and we had small market Indy/Minnesota/etc in the conference finals.

The salary cap and new CBA are real constraints. GS/Clippers can't spend endlessly any longer. The Lakers never have spent like that as their owners aren't as rich as many small market owners.
