I remember being a kid and absolutely hating the Larry Bird era Celtics! With a passion. Now I really wish I had taken more time to watch and appreciate how amazing they were.

I remember as an adult, in the Service, going "Man! These Celtics get way too many calls in their favor". It was total B.S. Lakers too got way too much love from the refs as well. Secured my hate of these franchises forever. Jake O'Donnell's charging call on Clyde against a leaning, not set, Pippen was criminal. The Blazers had totally taken control of that game, and that call changed the tone of the series in that Finals. I have refused to watch a Finals with either the Lakers, or Celtics involved.

How will Lakers have a better record than Lakers this season? Lakers were play-in team last year and got worse in the offseason. I think their ceiling is 5th seed.

I assume you mean, how will they have a better record than the Blazers, and the answer is better health for James and Davis. If they're as injured this season as last season, they're going to struggle.

I'm happy we don't have a Christmas game. I'd watch some if they did, but usually with family most of the day, so it'd be background more than anything. Glad our guys get to be with their families.
