Ibaka just blocked a shot back from the paint to nearly half court. Wow.

Reggie Jackson looks so good. I'm hoping CJ can become a similar player.

Clippers within 1 of OKC. Paul runs into OKC shooter. No foul. I don't want to play against the Clippers in the first round.

Terrence Ross reminds me a lot of Tracy McGrady.

“Schlimmbesserung” is a German word to describe an effort to make things better that actually ends up making things worse.

Except Ross is shorter and isn't near the player that McGrady showed before he got hurt. And did I mention he's not nearly the player was McGrady was? Dan Dickau reminded me a lot of John Stockton, until I actually saw him play as an NBA PG.

He's not nearly the player in his second season that McGrady was in his 9th or 10th season? Well shit, I guess I'm wrong then.

It's hard to compare them because TMAC was a high school guy, so by the time he was Ross' age, he had been in the league five years and he was already an exceptional player. If you compare their second seasons, they're actually pretty comparable, but if you look at age McGrady had accomplished much much more by 22.

Either way, I'm not saying Ross is going to be on McGrady's level, just that he reminds me of him because of his length and athleticism.

McGrady had a PER of 17 his rookie season, when he was 18. Every season afterward, he was above a 20 PER until he hit age 28 in Houston, and the major injuries really started to hinder him.

Terrence Ross has a 12.3 PER after a 10 PER last season, and he's already 23 years-old.

Ross reminds me more of a Doug Christie, at best.

This is how I took your first assessment of him in the thread. The eye test. We know statistically they are not even close... but he sure does look a hell of a lot like Mcgrady now that you say it.

I see Doug Christie. Ross doesn't have the handles or the size that McGrady had. Not even close. It's like saying Nic Batum reminds you of Scottie Pippen.

But Nic DOES remind me of Scottie Pippen :devilwink:

Pelicans sitting Anthony Davis for the remainder of the season with a bad back.

Eric Gordon to have knee surgery yet again. His contract is worse than Roy's.

How is Denver beating the Dubs in Oakland? I thought Golden State was a good team?

Davis has had a LOT op injury problems his first two years, its kind of worrying. The guy is such a beast and one of the most fun big men to watch but he seems to have a big problem that is limiting him or has him out about every 10 games or so.
I guess we know why Gordon wanted to be in PHX so badly, he knew his knees could only be cured by the voodoo magic the suns medical staff uses.

Thanks you Mozgov and Farried!

Only 2 games ahead of 9th!!!

That would sure be funny if We ended up 5th and GS didn't even make the playoffs.

HUGE night for Mozgov!!!

Even more impressive, he did it on 10-15 shooting. So that must mean he sank 73 free throws.

I wanted us to see what it would take to get Mozgov this summer when DEN was dicking around and not wanting to pay him much.

Happy we have Rolo but just think if we had someone competent like Mozgov behind him! Dang that would be nice.

And 93 isn't even his career high. Did he sneak in a hundo without anyone noticing?

The League Office has given itself the authority to suspend any employee of an NBA team whose salary is paid by the team owner. This includes ushers, hot dog sellers, secretaries, and parking garage valets.

Since the league admits the referee caused the initial problem, why wasn't he suspended, too?

They have always been able to suspend Announcers. Hell the refs have thrown out announcers from games before. NFL can do the same thing.

Do you mean, the authority is in the contracts between the owners and the League, but has never been done? Or do you mean, an NBA announcer has actually been suspended?

I'm surprised by either. I would have expected that if the Commissioner dislikes the behavior of a Paul Allen employee, his only recourse would be to simply pressure Allen to order Allen's employee to change.
