They should. They're going nowhere. Hibbert was a waste of a max contract. Lance is going to Lakers.

Then again, they went to the ECF, are relatively young, and the Heat most likely won't have the complete trio of Bosh/James/Allen next season, since all can opt-out this summer, and should.

The ECF literally means nothing. The only contender in the east is Miami. Indiana is not a contender.

4th best record in the league, got dominated in the conference finals. What else do you need to be a contender?

FTFY.

Again, said multiple times; the ONLY reason they reached the conference finals this year is because they were in such a weak conference. Once the Granger-for-Turner deal commenced, their fragile chemistry was shattered, and they had no shot at a title.

Leading CBA scorer Jonathan Gibson (@jgib4free) who re-signed with Guangsha, will play SL & go to mini camp with Portland. Has NBA outs.

In the EC, it means nothing. That's been my whole point. Where did the best record get them? Not in the finals.

To be a contender, you need to be in the finals.

It's really simple when you look at it.

I wonder, if OKC loses tonight will they have not been a contender either?

That is a ridiculous statement.

Awesome, another scorer who doesn't defend. He'll fit right in

If they lose they will go out 4-2 just like Indiana, blown out in at least 3 games. Is SA better than Miami?

Are the Clippers better than the Wizards?

Are the Blazers better than the Nets?

That's the relevant point of discussion.

Ibaka just got all-time posterized by Kawhi Leonard.

Yes.

They had to face tougher competition. Not contenders, but tougher competition than anything in the East had to offer. And judging by records alone that's true. Judging my the product on the floor as well. It's all right there.

That was an obvious goaltending call on Ibaka. NBA isn't even hiding wanting a Game 7 to wear down the WC champ so the Heat can maybe win another title.

This TNT overtime on nba.com is nice to watch but the angels are all kind of wierd. Those last two blocks by Ilbaka both looked like goal tends but that could be just because of the angle of the backboard camera.

Okay with how badly Twitter is blowing up seems like a really obvious missed goal tend.

jesus christ, seriously? A bang bang missed call is CLEAR evidence? GTFOH

So who gets fined on SA if they lose this game? Someone is going off on the refs, and they rightfully should.

Durant misses a shot Dame would've made. And no, conspiracy theorists, there will be no Game 7.

Spurs coaches have a good long talk with Fisher... after having a good long talk with Mo... think they want a vet backup PG?

And now NBA fans, its Miami vs San Antonio. Aren't you surprised? Thank God for the Stanley Cup. Go Rangers!

They just lost 4-2 exactly like the Pacers did. Pacers lost to Miami, OKC lost to SA
. How is OKC any more a contender than indy?

Congrats to the Spurs! They rocked the west and I hope they take the title. Now with all that being said, I really want free agents Mills and Diaw on the Portland bench next season. Any team with 50+ wins in the regular season that gets out of the first round in the playoffs is what I call a contender and deserves respect. The west is a beast to win
