N.B.A. Pros on the Big Screen: Can These Stars Act?

My son, who knows nothing about basketball (I tried!) saw Uncut Gems and raved about KG. Otherwise Marques Johnson in WMCJ would be my choice.

There are some NBA players who can act.

KG and Marques Johnson were good

Ray Allen was good in He's Got Game. Kareem Abdul Jabbar in Air Plane. Wilt in Conan the Barbarian. Gheorghe Muresan in My Giant.

MJ vs Lebron in the space Jam movies is a good argument. MJ was better I think. Lebron can act better than I thought though. He can't act cry.

Shaq has been in a lot of movies. He's not a good actor. He's gotten better though. He has fun with it. I loved Kazaam when I was younger. He was terrible in it. Steel was probably one of my favorites of his. A 90s super hero movie so terribly made, but I liked it. Him and Penny were good in Blue Chips. He is hilarious in the Grown ups movies.

Kevin Durant is terrible in Thunderstruck

Darius Miles was in The Perfect Score and Van Wilder. Not great.

A lot of players make cameos in other movies like Eddie, Like Mike, etc where they are on teams, but not a lot of acting. Though Rick Fox and John Salley were alright in Eddie.

Rick Fox was alright, from what I remember, in Oz.

Best Basketball Movies:

White Men Can't Jump

He's Got Game

Hoosiers

Love and Basketball

Coach Carter

Air Up There

Above The Rim

Blue Chips

Celtics Pride

Eddie

The 6th Man

Not really a Basketball movie...Finding Forrester

Speaking of acting, Melo and Chris Bosh had cameos on Law & Order SVU.

Not just Warriors fans, even some sports media are talking about Warriors getting Dame e Kevin Love without giving up assets.

I remember this like it was yesterday: it was such a Trader Bob move (and I HATED it)

...and then he compounded it by trading Anderson AND ALVIN WILLIAMS for Mighty Mouse. If he hadn't've signed Anderson, we would've kept Williams and won MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!

Kenny was pretty mediocre at that point, and Alvin was a role player at best.

I think Coach Pop might be a touch overrated …
Sure he is...and he'd be the first to say so. Geez, look at the players he's had to work with, make it much easier. Just ask Steve Kerr or Steve Nash.

Bradley Beal has been "seriously mulling" his future with the Washington Wizards in recent weeks and "has been very much on the fence" about whether to continue with the team, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Beal is using the weekend in hopes of arriving upon a decision during the upcoming week, which would make a trade easier due to the fluidity of draft week.

Beal has the ability to become a free agent next offseason due to a $36.4 million player option after the 2021-22 campaign. Beal is eligible for a four-year, $182 million extension this summer with the Wizards — or the 10-year veteran max extension next summer, totaling five years and $235 million.

Everyone on that roster, coach or player are.....

KD could never carry a team to meaningful games, we seen that once Kyrie got hurt....The "Best player" couldn't win two games

Pop never been the same after that stack team left him......

Dame is what I said he was, a stat stuffer that does not play winning basketball.....Logo shots get you a "Ooooooo and Ahhhhhhhs & a 38% playoff win percentage.........Plus a
donner une fessée à by France for your troubles.

Bam......We seen the Heat this year, moving on.....

Tatum is not really much better than Jaylen.

The rest are role players.......Tatum is actually a role player.

Keep KD, put Curry, Kyrie, Harden, Bron, Kawhi, Klay, AD on that team....They win by 50.
