I would be interested in seeing a recent history of injuries and recovery time from injuries for the Ducks compared to other big programs. Phil Knight has gifted amazing facilities to many of the sports teams at Oregon but one thing that stands out is the focus on the training, health, and meals, what is best for the players.

Overall the team was really healthy this year

REPORT: Oregon is being accused of TAMPERING with a Florida State player...

In December, FSU RB Rodney Hill entered the Transfer Portal after an NIL Dispute. An FSU reporter is now alleging that Hill was in contact with a program BEFORE he entered the portal

247Sports' Zach Blostein claims that Hill's camp reached out to Oregon, & there was communication via back channels on how much Oregon would pay him...

Why Oregon? The two sides were already familiar with each other, as the current Oregon RB Coach was at FSU in 2020

Keep in mind that the whole time, Rodney Hill was still on the FSU team, practicing for the bowl game, & NOT in the Portal...

Once FSU Head Coach Mike Norvell reportedly found out about this, Hill officially departed the program.

I wouldn't think Oregon would be dumb enough to make direct contact. Or have a coach directly text him or anything. What's the rule?

as a long time Duck fan I want to add some context: under Bellotti I think Oregon use to do about the best job in the country at identifying underrated talent and then developing that talent and coaching them up (Mike Riley was good at this too). Now, that was back in the days when it was a lot more regional recruiting. California, Washington, Hawaii, Oregon. Word of mouth recruiting.

I remember a bunch of complaints about losing great players here from Oregon to California schools before Belotti. That seems to not even be mentioned any more.

The last line is exactly how I feel!

Nike is not invested in Oregon winning. Phil on the other hand....
But honestly there is no question the facilities the players see when they visit have an impact. Oregon is top notch on a bunch of levels. Most of those facilities have been fully or partially funded with Phil Knight aka Nike money.
This also seems to be the case with the way the Media is treated. As I understand from reading not only here but in other articles you get better media attention if you treat the Media well. Again that has something to do with facilities.
The more the players see Oregon on Saturday morning during football season and even in the offseason the better.

I think the comments below the tweet speak to the validity of the story.

Though I'd assume back-channel communications are used all the time.
I started reading them. Of course the first thing you get is this guy posting a link to his podcast so he can get clicks. He is directly asked for concrete facts and links but says he will go over all of that in his podcast.
This accusation seems to be all about click bait.

"While Oregon was pretty set at the CB position following the addition of UTSA CB Kam Alexander earlier this month, you don’t pass on a player like Muhammad if he is interested in playing for you. In 2023, Muhammad had 46 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 3 interceptions. He also had 16 PBU’s, and a coverage grade of 77.7, per PFF, which was fifth-best in the Pac-12 (minimum 300 snaps)."

Husky fans are losing their shit about Muhammad.
Classic fandom. Got Softy celebrating Washington's latest portal add earlier this morning and bemoaning what college football has become with Muhammad transferring to Oregon. Of course, he didn't have an issue with Muhammad transferring from Oklahoma St to Washington.

Imagine if sports could make someone that mad.

This is tame.

Check this shit out
