Washington supreme court declines to review Pac-12 appeal

The Washington state supreme court will not review a lower court's decision that granted control of the Pac-12 board of directors to Oregon State and Washington State, the court ruled Friday.

With the ruling, a previous stay of the lower court's decision has been lifted, granting immediate control of the board to OSU and WSU.

Can't argue with that take at all. I don't blame Smith at all but yes it could have happened more gracefully for sure.
To me this is more than just football though. There are other sports that will be affected. Baseball and Basketball are also going to be in the mix in the next couple months. You expect the baseball team will also be in the top 10 of the nation. How does a school with a top 10 Football and Baseball team not even get considered by another conference?

Because the shots are being called by Fox & ESPN and they are solely interested in TV ratings not rankings. Relative to other options, OSU & WSU games don't draw enough eyeballs for them to sell their ad slots at the premium rate they can get from other games. It's not personal, it's just business.

I'd be skeptical about a legal filing in this circumstance. FSU is trying to assemble as many complaints of mismanagement as they can to make their case stronger

it's a bit surprising to me that Wayne Tinkle is still the OSU BB coach. 10 years on the job with a 138-174 record and only 2 appearances in March Madness. And over the last 3 seasons, a 25-65 record. Is he really the best the Beavers can expect?

He took them to the Elite 8! Which is their only accomplishment in 30+ years.

OSU gave him a nice contract extension after the Elite 8 and now they can't afford to buy him out.
