I remember listening to him every afternoon on his sports talk show early to mid 90s. He lived right around the corner from our detail shop on NE Sandy. We used to detail his car for free!
I remember he named his daughter Lydia ROSE. She was born the year the Ducks made it back to the Rose Bowl for the 1st time in forever if I’m not mistaken. Didn’t see him for like 20 years and re-introduced myself and had a great chat with him at a baseball game down there in Corvallis. Great dude.

I thought that was Darwin Barney for a second. I remember playing against Darwin Barney in an All Star tournament as a 14 year old. I was like who is this scrawny little hot dog. So much swagger. Our coach said he’s their best player. He went 4-5 with a bomb as a 14 year old.

Then won a college World Series and carved out lie almost a 10 year mlb career
