Meyers will be movable when the team's true window opens up in three years. If Kaman joins the team and works with him, maybe two years.

3 fucking years? I hate to sound like Hicks in Aliens but "what are we going to do?" If that lumux remains on this team with all this high priced beef. What is the incentive for the rookies to play hard? He'll become the perfect example of rewarded mediocrity. They know we can't afford to get rid of them. Just be like Meyers.... My hope is that by trading Crabbe maybe Pat and even Layman step up.

I don't even care if Harkless comes back if he has value I say see if you can trade him with Meyers to get him out of here.

As much as he drives me mad, Aminu is a good role player for how much he is paid. Davis too if he doesn't get fat like he did this year.

But after that, it ain't pretty....
I hate the narrative of "He's cheap so its okay". He"s not a player that would see time on a contender. I don't Care that he's paid good value for being a shit player. He's still a shit player.

Hope he's gone this summer. Hopefully we can find a way to trade him for a late 1st/early 2nd.

That's like, your opinion Man.

He'd definitely get minutes in Cleveland. They're desperate for perimeter defense and have way too many players that do the same exact thing - shoot.

Golden State probably 15 or so.

Aminu is a fine roleplayer, in my opinion. The issues he has is more to do with awkward fit with the rest of the roster (like everyone else has). With our system and our personnel, the Blazers need Aminu to hit shots (especially without Nurkic), and that's just not his strength. I mean, our 3/4 position is Vonleh, Turner, Harkless, and Aminu. One of those guys on the floor is fine; even two of them can be okay. But when you're forced to play three simultaneously? It constricts the space of both CJ and Dame. That's why Nurk was a godsend. Teams have to be aware of him on post ups and on PnR, which opens up space for those guys to be able to do things they're actually good at, which in turn gives more room for Dame and CJ to operate. It was a perfect fit on both sides of the ball. Healthy Nurk definitely makes this series more interesting. Unfortunately, it looks like we have to wait at least a year for that.

theres too much redundancy on our bench. We have three wings in our rotation that can't shoot. One of them has to go. And by one of them I mean one of Aminu and Harkless. No one will want Turner. Been saying this all year. Replace one of those two with another shooter and you'll see a lot more consistency. Aminu was getting wide open looks with no one near him. Harkless would've gotten the same looks had he played. Teams play the odds, and usually it works.

Then add a backup center, or hope Davis returns to form.

Then go contend.

I'm this thread waiting for HCP to scold the "haters."

Again. And again. And again.

And.

A.

Gain.

The reverse TLong schtick.

No he wouldn't. He's not that great of a defender. Very overrated in that aspect.

This was a quality read. Was catching the score while at work and was stunned when I saw we had a 17 point lead and lost it.

Actually, I wasnt.

Ive been a fan, but Stotts just got outcoached by Mike fucking Brown. Let that sink in.

A guy in a different state, watching on tv, with part of his brain missing, told everyone here the defensive adjustment GS was about to make. They did exactly what I said theyd do, yet Stotts and the team seemed surprised.

Lillard/McCollum/Nurkic is a nice core. Harkless is an okay role-player. That's pretty much it for the good news. If the rest of the garbage on the roster were cheap, that would be fine. The problem is that the rest of the garbage pretty much precludes adding more solid (non-star) pieces around the core. Olshey will have to draft like a demon.

Not sure about Harkless, sometimes he looks like he's somewhere else.
And I love Vonleh. He's got so much power in his legs he can give us tons of reb and dunks. He just need to be more gangsta, less kid.

And top 1 douchebag.

Would love to have a douchebag like this in my team. Instead of fuckin girls.

Hark remind me of Batum in the Memphis series a couple years ago. It's like he doesn't know he's in a playoff series, or just wants to go home and spend his bonus money.

THIS, good and accurate post, we are such a more "interesting" and complete team with Nurk as he really helps cover some of those guys negatives and accentuates their positives

As far as I could see, we simply don't have the players to go with Golden State. You can't say a coach was out coached when personnel differences are so great.

We have Dame, CJ and a hobbled Nurk plus role players being asked to do things they can't do. They have Curry, Thompson, Green, Igodala plus role players who can just play their role (and they know that's all they need to do).

Personnel or not, there were zero adjustments. Reality
