Raising em right! My 5 year old is really starting to get into watching the games. Asks me a ton of good questions and knows about 10 of our players by name.
I've loved the bonding time and I think we're going to let him stay up to watch the whole thing tonight. Can't wait!
0.9Wish I could be in Portland for this so badly. I remember being at work at Dots Cafe during the night of Dame's 0.6 game winner. There are no tvs there and I knew I was going to miss the game. But, it was a slow night and the owner, knowing what a big fan I was, let me off early. I ran across the street to Clinton st pub and watched the last 6 minutes or so. The whole block was electric. It was beautiful. Much fernet was consumed together across the street back at Dot's. I miss that. There's no facebook group for Blazer Fans in Shit Florida page.
I like where your mind's at...Wow its going to be an awesome party there wish I was in town.
Somehow its conceivable I'll have a chance to party on Blazer wins out here in Texas next month! Go Blazers!
Where in Shit Florida? If it's Tampa I'll hit you up.Wish I could be in Portland for this so badly. I remember being at work at Dots Cafe during the night of Dame's 0.6 game winner. He's not even been the best center in this series. DeAndre's defense has been tremendous. Mason has been doing a great job with his passing, but it's really because of how they are doubling Damian. Like they kept leaving Aminu open, when he hits them it's not necessarily a sign that he's the best forward.Still laughing at Mason Plumlee. I called him a Team USA center (which he is), and you laughed and compared him to Magloire and Mo Williams. Don't look now, but Plumlee has been the best center in the entire NBA playoffs thus far.
I just really hope Lillard grabs the mic and yells Rip City after the game.
I hear what you're saying, and I would counter that they've already had a trial by fire in the first 5 games of this series. 20 years ago, this series would already be officially over. They're ready to fight in round 2--I'd prefer they have a light sparring session tonight instead of another knock-down drag-out.Frankly, I don't want a Blazers blowout (although pulling away late like they did Game 5 is fine). Playoff basketball is not supposed to be easy. It's supposed to be a trial by fire. If the Blazers win this series, GSW will NOT be easy. This is a young team and they need to learn playoff intensity. That every possession is important, take care of the ball, don't chuck but don't be so unselfish you pass up good shots.
So I want at least a reasonably challenging game, just not a brutal killer.
Although if Portland is down a point with less than a second left and Dame hits a 3 at the buzzer, I'm fine with that.
Be there in spirit.

DVRIs there a way to re-watch the games once they're over?

I guess I'm the only guy who voted Chief.....I think his defense has been the difference all 3 wins...Mason has been great but Chief has taken the dirty work role and owned it against Griffin and even Jordan. Thought I'd give him a shoutout. My true choice would be the team...They all said it...it's been a total team effort.
Mason has been just as much a revelation on the defensive end this series as on O. I would absolutely take him over DeAndre THIS series and it isn't even close. Overall though? DeAndre is usually better. But this one series there is no way that the free throw airballer has been the better Center. He's not even been the best center in this series. I'm hopin' Montero, Connaughton and Roberts get double doubles and play most of the 4th qtr with a huge lead.
Only 3 of his offensive rebounds have come off of Lillard misses. He's rebounded as many of his own missed shots as he has Lillard's, and more of Aminu's than anyone else's.Don't tell me that Lillard opens lanes for Plumlee. If you want to credit Lillard for Plumlee's success, say that Lillard's many, many missed shots have increased Plumlee's rebounds.

I know you weren't looking for the actual figures, but I wanted to provide them for accuracy's sake.
You need links to the individual game play-by-plays in order to comb through them to double-check my data? OK, have a blast...I cite a link to back up my numbers, you give no link for yours, then you say that I'm the one not pursuing real numbers.
LOL. Didn't want to put it at 30 minutes so you would have to include Kaman at -1.1 (yes, a negative PER).After 5 games, here are the playoff PERs. (for all Blazers who have played minimum 33 minutes)
20.9 Plumlee
15.6 McCollum
15.2 Aminu
14.6 Harkless
14.4 Lillard
11.0 Davis
09.5 Henderson
07.0 Crabbe
