So much for the Batum syndrome to complain about...I like that they are making the Blazers the sole focus, speaks volumes to their commitment. Dame has nothing to prove at this point. I think he'd rather just move on from getting stung like he did before anyway...120 million reasons to take a break

Your surprised? They are Blazers, of course they were left off.
But for a player who competed for the team already and is having a career year. I don't think that he would have just been left off. They must have turned it down...right?

That Team USA nonsense would take too much time away from Dame Dolla's recording career.

That's OK. Let them get some off season rest. Are there any players of the top 12 that they are better than?

Good point. It's going to be hard to narrow that list down to 12 players without the two of them.

Should LA make the team?

Anyone wanna pick their 12?

Dame missed 7 games for his foot condition, he'd reap more benefits from rehabbing it even more I think

I wonder if they were both left off or if they both declined. I hope it's the second for multiple reasons, the main one being that it shows they are committed to the future of this team.
Dame declined and Plums was just left off this time because some bigs (like LMA for example) are going to training camp this time who didn't last time.

I want the Blazers to win an NBA championship, I don't care about the USA team. They've won Gold in what, 6 Olympics in my lifetime. The Blazers have won 1 title.

Those who want Sabonis in the draft better understand he's gonna play every year just like Batum did.

It just dawned on my that the Olympics are this year.
On that note, I will be in Rio this summer working. Hope they have the Internet down there!

Curry/Westbrook
Thompson/Harden
LeBron/Durant/Kawhi/George
Davis/Griffin
Cousins/Drummond

Edit: Butler probably belongs instead of Harden.

Agree with it 100%. The only thing I might change for accuracy is putting Love in there over Griffin. I think politics wins and Love has done much more for team USA, right?

This looks good for the most part. The only thing I will say that in International Competition, the USA team doesn't seem to care much about true Centers (as they aren't used as much) so I could see Cousins (because he plays a lot of PF) but Drummond may not be a lock and they may go for more swingmen (while playing George at PF a lot and Davis at Center a lot).

True, but I'd want one true center, because you never know when you'll be facing a team with a bruiser of their own. Drummond is the best rebounder and post defender on the list.

Funny I was thinking Drummond over Cousins but you might be right. What if we saw more of a small ball lineup like we see in the NBA? Imagine being one of the coaches of the USA Basketball team, and getting to choose whatever amazing lineup you want to...

Curry, Westbrook
Harden, Butler
Thompson, Durant, Lebron
Draymond, Kawhi, Griffin (Love?)
Davis, Cousins/Drummond

Forgot about Draymond, and you omitted Paul George. I'd drop Harden off this list to put George on. Plus defenders across the board, as much as possible.

Curry/Westbrook
Butler/Thompson
Durant/George/Leonard
LeBron/Green/Griffin
Davis/Drummond

Who's scoring on them?

Yea that's a squad right there. I'd drop Harden easily and put Butler in there. That should be a no brainer in fact..

That's an unfair defensive team right there

They do but they also steal computers

I have no problems with that at all. That's a really solid list, and I think that list should be able to win it all. A lot of unselfish ballers on that team, and definitely great defenders.

But I still think the coaches will take Love over Griffin.

I'm happy with that roster for team USA and I want all the Western conf guys playing huge minutes.

Wow that is heavy on the west, 8-4 in favor of them. It's crazy because there isn't as big of a separation in skill level between the two conferences like there has been in previous years.

It's a 20/10 in favor of West players for the 30 overall as well.
