Correct if I'm wrong but wasn't the deal where the City gets the Moda, done in a way that if they pay for repairs and the team leaves, the team pays 100% of the incurred costs?

Sure, a team photographer and media member will not contribute to wins and losses on the court, but I'd say there's more to a team than that, and more to making money than that. As someone else already said, you generally don't see the top, successful teams run like that, or ever really hear about it, which would make one assume they do not.Yes it is sad for the people that have these jobs. I enjoyed Casey podcast, especially the old one he did with Joe Freeman.
But I can see why a new owner might question how this job directly contributes to the team winning.
We might see some massive changes on the business side of the Blazers.
This kind of management generally leads to an exodus of quality employees.I just want to say that I know this cheapskate bullshit from Dundon looks bad but for fuck's sake let's give it just a little bit of time before we all condemn the guy as the worst owner in the history of sports... or even a bad owner for our team.
I'm very concerned with what has been done and reported but I think there are a couple of explanations that wouldn't be the worst.
One is that there will be a learning curve and hopefully that happens quickly and results in us not having to deal with the unnecessary cost cutting we've seen.
The other is he's coming in hot on purpose so when he cools things down and stops cutting costs in ways that don't make sense, there's a sense of relief where there would have been complaints if he didn't provide the contrast.
It's the kind of manipulative shit I've seen from hyper-competitive/high demand owners or upper-management types.
I agree with this. Get rid of Doug Fir. That was something Jody & Burt wanted, they demanded it even when people in the front office told them it wouldn’t be embraced by fans.
Calabro is the highest paid local NBA broadcaster. I’d be shocked if he’s not cut. And I won’t be upset at all if he is.Dundon will get a fan out of me if he lets Calabro go. Guy is probably going to join the Sonics for a season when they come back.
Lamar can stay.
I'm still bitter they moved Barrett for Calabro. I just never saw the appeal.Calabro is the highest paid local NBA broadcaster. I’d be shocked if he’s not cut. And I won’t be upset at all if he is.
Agreed on all accountsI'm still bitter they moved Barrett for Calabro. I just never saw the appeal.
Doubt they'd bring back Barrett now. I actually liked Jordan Kent more than Calabro.
