He's never had quick reaction times (and having your eyes closed doesn't help) - bit he seems much stiffer & heavier in movement these days as well.

When the team was imploded after LMA left, I really thought that was a good time to rebuild the coaching staff as well for a fully fresh start. Was never really impressed with Stotts, but the big miss was not hiring Thibs that same off-season when he was available. A defensive minded coach would've been perfect for our backcourt.

Whilst Thibs record isn't great at Twoves, he has given the team more prestige/extra clout around the league & I suspect his defensive teachings will finally reap some rewards for them this season.

I did the same with the Cardinals' Tommy Pham in various Cardinal forums. I was roasted everywhere last season when he was benched and finished 4-39 closing out the season with sporadic playing time and then again when the season began this year in AAA for him. All the while I kept taking my licks complaining about his lack of opportunity. What do you know, he finally got it about five weeks into the season and he didn't look back. He turned in an elite performance this season, much like he did in my OOTP games when I put him in the starting lineup and modified his stats to my own assessment. You know who is congratulating me now on my prescience? ME! That's about it.

Hate is a strong word - one that I never said.
Stotts is an OK coach, and whilst i'm not the biggest fan of his coaching style - off the court he seems like a great human being.

My opinion is we had a chance to get a better coach in Thibs when he was available - but for whatever reason/s we didn't.
 
The words are great, now it's time for him to prove it. On the court. The rest doesn't matter. I won't root for him to fail though. We need him to be good, whether it's for us or for his trade value, we need him to be good.

Don't mind her; she likes being dramatic and sarcastic for no reason whatsoever. Just play along with it, and she'll go away eventually.

We definitely need a defensive-minded coach, and that is not Stotts.

If any of this mattered, I'd consider it. I just think it's funny how you five have the same conversation every few months. One of you posts the same observations you've made before, and the rest say "great post, I agree completely". It's just the same old opinions, endlessly recycled. No drama, plenty of sarcasm though. You guys are cute when you repeat yourselves like this.

Sweet pea, you whine about the same ol' garbage, with the same 4 or 5 people, over politics and exaggerated social issues on a daily basis. Whereas a couple of us whine about Stotts maybe twice a season. Occasionally, I'll bicker about him during a game thread if I see our team making the same dumb mistakes that the coaches should be responsible for, yet haven't addressed because they keep happening year after year.

I just don't understand why myself and another person agreeing about coaching problems is a reason for you to just pop up with your usual sarcasm, when neither of us were even addressing you.

If you have a genuine disagreement about our opinions over something, then let's discuss it. But sarcastic comments are not a proper way to engage with that.

So, since this obviously bothers you so, then how about you do what I do.....ignore it and stay out of the thread.

I started doing that months ago: avoiding the OT and threads which annoy me, and I've been happier for it. Give it a try sometime.

Either way, your sarcasm and snarky narcissistic comments were not necessary. So grow up.

I feel like we all have a thing or to we should be taken seriously about, and about 600 we shouldn't be taken seriously about. I'm here to make jokes and spurious analytical predictions. The yelling on the OT forum is a bonus.

LOL, really? Personally, I find it exhausting. I dunno....maybe I'm just reaching my tolerance level for it all. It's kind of like the news: I switched it off two years ago, and I've been so much happier since. If it wasn't some child being murdered or something, it was some overseas conflict or political bickering of some sort. Completely depressing.

So a couple months ago, I just abandoned the OT completely. I pop in one day every couple of weeks just to check what threads there are, but nothing more than that. Been happier ever since.

As far as that tattoo photo is concerned.....it reminds me of when my father and I went to the last 49er/Rams game at Candlestick back in 2013. The day before the game, he got a tattoo done by his tattoo artist and good friend in San Francisco, while I was diagnosed the day before we left town with both internal and external hemorrhoids. Fuck, they hurt so bad....

We had a beautiful hotel room, but between his bleeding tattoo and my hemorrhoids, that bathroom looked like a serial killer's playground or something with all the bloody towels we left there.

Fun times.
