Pretty wild game for an opener. Lundqvist looks sharp but they've missed a few chances, plus a crossbar. Good to see Nash get off on the right foot.
 
He's still growing, but that was an ill advised play shorthanded. D. Moore and Miller should be switched, Miller should be C the 4th line for now.
 
Why is Moore playing. And looking like shit constantly and making bullshit rookie mistakes instead of McIlrath, whom I'd prefer up here, learning from those mistakes and getting better? Seriously. Just got home and turned on the game to see his idiotic play.
 
So ridiculous that we have a guy like Zucc fighting and no real enforcer to help defend this team. We still lack that physical presence on defense with a guy who can clear the crease and defend players.
 
Weak lazy play with Moore is why this game is tied.
 
i'm sick of klein and moore already on D. Much prefer big mac and allen out there. Willing to live with their mistakes which moore and klein make constantly and dylan stops the st. louis headhunting in its tracks
 
and as usual girardi goes left and player scores right

Moore shouldn't be on the PP unit. I'd rather have Girardi out there. If McIlrath isn't on the team this year then trade him and move on. Inexcusable to keep Moore on the ice with his horrendous play. Either McIlrath is a bust (which wouldn't be a surprise) or he needs to be up here already. Make him the third pair and just deal with his growing pains.
 
From what I've seen already, once again this team is afraid to use the body and check, but instead continues to try and reach for the puck with their sticks, losing a majority of the battles. Need to be physical boys! Can't win puck battles when you stop moving your skates and start reaching for the puck.
 
Not getting pucks deep again is a trademark. Dumb penalties too.

Mac is right d and replacement for klein and allen eould be moores replacement on the left side]

I don't care if Mac is center d, he's gotta be better than Moore and Klein. If not, then that says all you need to know about where he is in his development and how that big reach is gonna be a HUGE bust for us. Not ready to give up yet, but if he's not up this year I think it's safe to say he will be considered a bust.

Thank god Torts is not the coach of this team. CK would still be buried in AHL to this day.
