You know any other good British movies thay you'd reccomend?
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Trainspotting, The Bridge Over the River Kwai, The Full Monty, Life of Brain, Zulu, The Italian Job (original), A Clockwork Orange, Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Don't Look Now, to name a few.

All cover a broad spectrum of genres. Take your pick. :)

The Blind Side - 8/10

I thought it was a pretty damn good movie, and I'm glad they didn't focus too much on Oher as a football player. Sandra Bullock was also very good in it, and shockingly, Tim McGraw did a good job too.

I downloaded Hot Fuzz through the day so when I get from work I'll be giving it a look. I've heard that it's hilarious and anything with Ricky Gervais has to be funny.

^ It is but I think you mean Simon Pegg.

Layer Cake is another entertaining British gangster film. It's like a more subdued version of Guy Ritchie's early films. Daniel Craig is always a badass.

I saw "The Road" I'd say it was a 9/10. It's intense on the mind.

Gladiator - 10/10

I <3 Russell Crowe. I can't wait for his new Robin Hood movie.

V for Vendetta - 7/10
Good movie, amazing ending scene.

Guy Fawkes day is a holiday that needs to be celebrated more. I learned about it in 7th grade...so like..7-8yrs ago lol Who knew that a couple years later there would be a movie about it...kinda.

Gran Torino
9.5/10

Clint Eastwood is still great.

I saw a movie in Korean about a monster. The Host. Pretty awesome for not understanding what was said. 8/10

lol the host was absolutely cheesy man. It's like a 6.5/10 for me.

Lol, so?! There was fire... :gasoline:

I watched about a third of The Host on television one night and thought it was pretty good, but like authentiq, I was watching it in Korean and didn't understand enough to keep going with it.

Brothers - 9.5/10

Hands down the best performance by Tobey Maguire. I could definitely see him getting an Oscar nomination for Best Actor, I think the movie could be nominated for Best Picture too. Great movie.

Are you gay?

Man on Fire - 10/10

I <3 Denzel.

Public Enemies

7/10 - It had so much potential. :/

i've been hearing that they shoulda switched up the roles between gyllenhaal and maguire. Were they both any good? I've yet to see it.

BTW Moo, I was messin' with ya.

I've heard pretty good things about Tobey more so than the movie. I HATE both actors though, so its going to take a lot in me to see it.

I actually thought both were great in their roles, it was just odd seeing them play those roles. I'm used to seeing Maguire as Spiderman and not nearly as demented as he was in this movie, so it was a breath of fresh air to see him in a different role, and I thought he pulled it off great.

I think it was a good role for Jake, too. He started off as a not-so-likeable guy, and then as the movie progresses you change your view on him. He and Maguire basically switched places with that (as what is obvious in previews). Overall though, definitely a great movie and a must-see in my book, even if you hate both actors.

Speaking of that, why do you hate both of them Mamba?

I know man, no worries.

But seriously, you should see the movie.

Maguire has never won me over in anything that I've seen and outside of Donnie Darko and maybe Zodiac, Gyllenhaal just bugs me. I don't know why, just not fond of him.

Maybe I'll give it a shot when it hits DVD next year when I can score it for free from my Blockbuster connection.

Donnie Darko, such a great movie.

Did you ever check out Jarhead? That's another Gyllenhaal movie, and I thought it was great.

And c'mon Mamba, we all know your favorite movie of all time is Brokeback Mountain.

Only for Heat Ledger ;]

Inglourious Basterds -- 9/10 -- easily one of QT's best. Christoph Waltz kills it so bad in this movie you actually want the Nazi to win. Steals every scene. Best supporting actor 2009 right there.

Year One - 2/10

It had it's moments...but it was, overall, retarded.

Hi Everyone..

I've been watching 80s action movie all weekend and I must say that Bloodsport and American Ninja are my favorites. All of these movies are cheesy, they are so addicting to watch.

Heat -- 8/10

Robert De Niro is so fucking gangster.

Inglourious Basterds- 8/10

Disadvantages: length, plus I wish there were more scenes of the Basterds in action and less talk (though lots of dialogue is something I've come to expect from a Tarantino film). Other than that, amazing performance by Waltz and an overall very solid movie.

Law Abiding Citizen- 9/10

Great perfomance by Gerard Butler. I really liked this movie for some reason. Butler's character's attacks were unexpected and creative. I thought the ending could've been more interesting though.

Alexander- 3/10

Long, tiresome, boring...I stopped 3/4 of the way in and don't even feel the urge to finish it.
