Trade Idea Realistic trade options for summer of 2023

Stay with Dame plan:
After the two separate trades below sign the best backup C with the TPMLE. I know a future first would probably have to be added to each trade and maybe even two to get OG and we'd have to get a commitment on an extension with OG if we were giving up two picks but I would do it to have a rotation of: Dame, Shaedon, OG, Jerami, KAT, Scoot, Matisse, TPMLE and a really good vet min guy or just see who pops from the rest of the roster Murray might be plug and play at backup PF.

Move on from Dame plan: We end up with a rotation of Scoot, Shaedon, Whitehead, Clowney, Ayton, Murray, Rupert, Badji... and maybe we get something in a S&T for Jerami and maybe we keep Matisse. I do like Claxton as much as I like Ayton but I just would want this trade to be clean and make sure I had all of the value intact and Claxton could walk after next season. If we worked something out with him prior to pulling the trigger maybe it's just a two team trade.

people need to think about the new CBA. KAT may be the biggest albatross contract in the NBA under the new CBA and 2nd Apron
Ya, KAT is a great talent but I could see MIN actually sending a 1st round pick (just one) with him rather then getting one (or more). They can't keep all 3 of those Centers, realistically, can they?

That dude that got his account nuked said KAT to Dallas or PHX.

How the hell is Phoenix in the middle of all these rumors. I don't get it.

I hope this with a bunch of 2nd rounders going to Minny isn’t the plan.

I think that would be really good actually. Especially if it would leave us enough draft capital to send Nurk out for a start forward, like OG.

Dame, Shaedon, OG, Grant, Ayton, Scoot, Matisse, Murray and a backup big with the TPMLE. That would be the best rotation we have put around Dame especially if Shae pops big time. With all of the spacing that Dame creates, Ayton could feast in the paint and that would keep him more engaged on defense where he is a beast when he's not slacking off.

Why would you present a trade and say i hope this is not the plan?
I was responding to how Phoenix could get KAT by using us as a 3rd team. I say I hope that doesn’t happen because I don’t want to pay Ayton/Grant 60+ mil a year for multiple years. I think that’s a real bad idea.

Not everyone is making 30+ million.

Is the goal to get better? If so, we're going to have to commit to paying a difference maker that much. Harden, P George, Ayton, KAT, OG, Siakam, etc. None of them are perfect but all would make us better. I feel like we have Jody Allen Stan accounts just poo-pooing every player because of cost on here.

I suggested this in another thread, but how about a trade with Detroit sending Ant + Little +? that returns Bogdanovic and Stewart? We get a vet starting SF and a solid backup for Nurk, Detroit builds a great trio of guards with Ant/Ivey/Cunningham, and they plug their Thompson twin in at SF.

Dame dislike Brooks, he even mocked him

Brooks is just not long enough for our needs. We need a SF and although he is a tough defender he still only has a 6'6" wing,

I still think Toronto is our best trade partner. I think a fair trade is Ant for OG while giving them a young prospect in Kris Murray and taking back Young's 8 million contract. That is more than fair.

They have zero interest in "fair".
