Funny you complain about taking away funding for a get the word out campaign that didn't get the word out.

Maybe if they ALL get brain cancer...

(Or maybe having a uterus would help. McCain shouldn't hog all the credit: Collins and Murkowski stood firm the whole time, even while Murkowski was being essentially blackmailed.)
Yeah, typical, the women do all the work and the man gets the credit.

Pete Souza is the Obama White House photographer who has made a habit of publishing pictures on Instagram of Obama doing the opposite whenever Trump does something embarrassing. His latest:

This seems about right:

This is a Waterloo moment for Trump, the tea party and their alliance. They have been stopped in their tracks not only by Democratic opposition, but because of a mutiny within their own ranks. Although never particularly liked or respected, it is now clear that they are no longer feared. The bankruptcy of their ideas and their incompetence have been exposed. Their momentum has been dissipated. Their rejection of political norms has itself been scorned. Our long national nightmare may finally be coming to an end.

This has been quite a week in Washington, a week full of terror, intrigue, suspense, backstabbing and outright chaos. While we might not have been able to predict the particular contours of the catastrophe that complete GOP rule has been, we should have known it would turn out something like this.

Guess what, America: This is what you get when you elect Republicans.

Now you know why I could not vote for him. Even with Obama as the alternative.

“After attacking Democrats for ramming Obamacare into law with only 60 votes after insufficient hearings, insufficient bipartisan outreach, and insufficient transparency, Republican senators nearly passed Trumpcare with only 50 votes after no hearings, no bipartisan outreach, and so little transparency that even most of them had no idea what would be in it until a few hours before their middle-of-the-night roll call.”

insufficient bipartisan outreach
Trump is about as bad at bipartisan outreach as anyone to ever hold the office....welcome to the state of the nation.....we now have a president calling representatives sleazebags........that's not very transparent eh?

they got it done! The losers didnt quite make it happen. Buh bye to that idea.

I'm no fan of the republicans. The whole "replace" part was moronic. Just repeal would have been great. They passed that numerous times.

In spite of all this, I see the republicans gaining seats in the senate. All it takes is ONE.

The repeal bit was never gonna happen. Too many of their voters are on Obamacare.

They won on the promise of repeal.

I mean, why vote for a democrat who claims to be republican when you can vote for the genuine article?

well, they failed.

Not sure what the 2nd part is referring to. Can't be trump lol.

Well, here is Schumers out reach for the Democrats to help.

"Schumer wants to make sure two aspects of the Affordable Care Act remain intact: Obamacare subsidies and insurance company bailouts."

Too damn bad the Rhinos didn't kill this damn shit when they really had a chance, but here we are.

I don't give a dame where you are in the health care debate, but two things should not occur.

1. The federal government defining what the product is, that private companies offer for sale to the public. Forcing them to rely on subsidies rather than sound business practice for a profit.

2. Force people to buy the above product under threat of penalty, rather than allowing them to meet their needs to cover risks as they see fit. Actually this is just another subside to the insurance industry, forcing the public to buy their product that isn't designed to meet their need.

If you want the Federal Government to take on the business of healthcare, why the hell do we need to commingle and corrupt the operation of an entire industry, that does not even provide the end product, Health Care? Then compound this error by forcing the public subsidize the corrupted industry that can no longer ever be expected to produce a profit and exist on it's own merit in the eyes of public?

Now I think is the time to send the above questions to my representatives, all Democrats.

Yeah, I am with Denny om this. They are sleazebags, and I see no reason not to name them such.

Congressman,

I am not pleased to see the Affordable Care act was not repealed. But so be it. I see Schumer wants to double down on this egregious legislation.

"Schumer wants to make sure two aspects of the Affordable Care Act remain intact: Obamacare subsidies and insurance company bailouts."

I would like you to consider the logic in this matter. What should not happen and why it make no sense.

Due to the affordable care act, my wife and I have already lost the health Care insurance I had as compensation for 35 years of work. You can not fix this. We can not buy insurance like we lost. You can not fix that either. We can not even buy insurance that a local doctor will accept. I can not thank you for that either.
But I sure hope you see some gross errors in this.

Regards,
MarAzul

The above also sent the the Oregon Senators.
