No work will be done by me today. None.

It's not the matchups, but the psychology that is my concern tonight. My fear is the Blazers will relax a little bit, thinking they have three chances to close them out. I think tonight is the best chance, even better than Game Six at home, because if we get a lead, I think this is the game the Rockets are most likely to pack in. In Game Six, all they're going to think about is getting home for Game Seven.

I have to work and go to a meeting this morning. I'll be gone by noon to work out and burn some nervous energy, and I'm not going back. No point in it. :)

In the playoffs, every game is 'must win'. Especially this one. :pimp:

None of those names really stick out. I don't pay a ton of attention to refs, but the only name I even recognize is Danny Crawford - and he's no Joey!

I just checked the ref stats on this site, and they seem to favor the road team: http://www.nbastuffer.com/referee_stats

Search name by name. Crawford, Smith and Tiven have reffed seven playoff games in total, with zero home wins (Crawford 0-4, Smith 0-2, Tiven 0-1). David Jones has reffed four playoff games and the home record is 2-2.

I'm cautiously optimistic we may get a fair shake. I don't want favoritism; I just want a straight-up game. In the NBA, sometimes that's too much to ask for.

Seeing how these games have gone, with Houston taking leads at the beginning and through most of the game, only to cough them up at the end, I'm wondering if there isn't something else at play we haven't discussed. Is our team in superior physical condition to the Rockets? I'm wondering if they're just getting tired at the end of games and that's the reason they can't close us out?

He's earned my respect. If all the Rockets played with that kind of heart, there's a good chance we would have been swept.

I read that last night Garcia and Harden were out at a hookah bar; I hope that's the attitude we see from them tonight.

I don't think the Blazers are in superior condition, but maybe they tend to conserve their energy a little more until the 4th. Maybe Terry is using the old "Ropa Dopa" strategy.

Seriously though when we are on the road, I am happy if the Blazers are close with about 8 minutes left. At this point the starters are ready to come back for the final stretch. We need some energy off the bench tonight from TRob and Wright. My gut says we will lose tonight, but I do not want to rely on having to win game 6, so hopefully we stay close and steal it at the end.

I wonder how much time the coaches spent assessing Daniels' game these past few days? Clearly, he's getting to places that are comfortable for him on the floor. We need to move him off those places. He's been absolutely killing us.
