Objectively speaking, I don't see how you guys can win a game against us. Contrary to what Tlong and many others think...bench production is VITAL. We also play real D unlike Houston, so nothing but jumpshooting will get exposed. It'll be a fun series, we deff. need the prep for the finals so hopefully you guys can give us some bang for our buck.

Harden and Beverley did plenty to get me to hate the rockets. I was searching for something similar with the spurs but I respected the players too much.

Now these bitches come in and talk shit about our team and patronize on our turf? Thanks. You are all I needed to get motivated. And you clearly don't realize how resilient our team is. Ill be waiting for your dumb ass to show up Thursday

Glad to hear, hopefully you bring that intensity to the court on thursday too.

Anyways, good game guys! Portland has a great future in front of them

I was so sure of a Blazer let down going into game one I didn't even watch the game (but did DVR it, just in case..). Given the emotion from that game winner, then four days off to enjoy it, for a young team that's never been this far, it was written in stone that they'd get their asses handed to them by the Spurs.

The Blazers are underdogs, that's where they play the best, but for the last four days they haven't been treated like it. They've gotten a 96 hour verbal blow job by fans and media alike. No way they'd bring that edge they had against Houston. My hope is now that they've been punched in the face and will get a couple days of bulletin board material due to how much they sucked, that they'll once again realize they haven't accomplished shit. They're in the playoffs against the best team in the league and they better fight like the dogs they are. Don't know if they can win, the Spurs are a machine, but I expect them to fight.

On that point

I think one difference in this series is that the Blazers and Rockets didn't really like each other. Don't think that's there with the Spurs.

Lillard hated Beverley and came out to kill him

So far all he has said is how much he loves Parker and his game. Much different mindset.

Lillard needs to find that right mindset.

Overall I think the Blazers respect the Spurs so much that they just weren't ready to go for their throats yet. There's no hate there.

I seriously agree with this post. We needed this crushing loss to get our heads on straight. We had too much limelight and we need to realize what got us to where we are.

These defeats bring out the warrior in you if you are one. We will learn a lot about the team next game. We may even lose that game, but it will be close.

Dude that's a really interesting take. I actually think that's very true. Even Aldridge likes Duncan. We need to turn our hatred to ginobli. He's gotta be the villain here! Hahaha

Breaking news: Tlong has just posted on spurstslk, more at 11.

Who's talking shit about your team? Most of us have nothing but respect for the Blazer organization other than some of the boneheaded choices they've made drafting over the years (still scratching my head over the Oden pick) and we acknowledge LA and Lillard as top 10/future top 10 players.

The one that's banned :dunno:

Great points by RoyToy and noknobs, I had similar concerns to what you guys posted, and that is more or less my take as well. Hopefully this lights a fire under their ass for game 2 so they come ready to play with a serious passion.

At least I got to see Meyers wave his arms at a shot like he was almost close enough to block it. I missed that.
