I thought Little’s one on one D was decent. He looked a little (heh) lost here and there. I thought Hoard looked like a legit NBA player. Trent Jr is a chucker and he’s not even good at creating his own shot. His only hope in the NBA is to get a good enough jumper he can run around screens and play a JJ reddick
type role.

Simons looked good in spurts.

It's the 80% that I get mad at. Just pass the fucking ball to the guys who matter. They still don't understand that GM's don't want to watch them come in and jack up 30 shots.
Seriously, these guys need to realize nba teams want guys who move the ball and make open shots. Not guys who play 1 on 5 and attack the basket foolishly or throw up contested jumpers out of the flow of the offense. PLAY YOUR ROLE and you may make a roster.

Now that Little got the jitters out, I think he'll play a lot better next game. But I don't know what the fuck our coach is doing

My observations on the game;
Little - bad
Trent - bad
Simons - meh
Daum - didn’t play
Hoard - didn’t know how to pass
Robinson - decent

I hope I didn’t get too in-the-weeds on that review. I tried to keep it at a high level and simple for the reading audience on this forum.

He get traded?

I thought someone said shoulder issue? Probably means Olshey said “hey, we are gonna say your shoulder is tweaked cause we don’t need you to get hurt in Vegas somehow when you will be a rotation player come the start of the season.”

will cherry and dame have some history if i remember. hes also from oakland, same class

Next one is tommorow vs Rockets at 7pm

Will Daum play tommorow?

Well I missed the 1st half, but from what I saw in the second, this Summer League version of the Blazers is pretty bad. Little looked raw, Simons didn't look like a PG(which is a problem), and no one else looked like a roster keep. I hope there was some nice play in the 1st half. I did see the Blazers close to 4 in the 3rd, but there were absolutely no shooters. I know, it's Summer League, but it's always fun to see someone that gets you excited. Didn't see it at all today. Now back to Anfernee. I know he has mad skills, and showed them in that last game of the season, but the Blazers are hoping for him to be the backup PG. I'm not sure he's close to be ready for that role. With ET gone, and Seth gone as well, it seems to me that the Blazers are going to have to find a REAL backup to Dame, and fast. Who's left on the market?

1st half was about the same as the 2nd

I am not going get over excited about summer league play. What I wanted to see out of Simons and Trent if they look confident out there and overall I thought they did. Simons took 14 shots and Trent took 12 and expect that out of those two and both could probably shot little better. Hoard look good for his first NBA play. Little looks like he still try to figure it out but his one on one play was decent. They should show the players that already in organization more.

I get that. I'm not worried about wins and losses in the SL. But Simons is on tract to be the backup PG, and I didn't see him display anything close to that. THAT! is a problem. The Blazers have 1 roster spot available, and to me, it better be spent on a TRUE quality backup PG.

Don't they have 2 spots with Layman gone
