He has to do all of that other stuff if he's going to be what he was projected to be and be able to hit an open set three point shot. I think even though he's not doing "all the other stuff" he has all of those tools to do them today and just needs to wrap his head around what's going on around him and how he fits in. I don't think he needs to be able to shoot the pull up three off the dribble and I wish our coaches would tell him that for now that shot is absolutely not OK for him to take. If he has so much room that he can stop the dribble, set himself and then take the shot that's cool, otherwise drive or pass the damn ball for now.We better have shooting around him though. Because in today’s NBA if you’re not any kind of threat of a jump shot it hampers you much harder. Unless you’re doing all the other stuff, which he’s not really
Scoot has a lot of great things going for him. The game will slow down for him and he'll stay incredibly fast and strong. Maybe things he doesn't have right now will develop but I think he'll be really good if not great just getting a lot more reps and a lot more time with competent (not even great) coaching.
