Folks usually either want information.....or confirmation. Be it sports, politics, religion...you name it.
If one hates the Scoot pick, they will usually search for posts, threads, or discussions where he is being dogged. That is seeking confirmation.
Truth is, we don't know. There are examples that indicate he might fail. There are examples that indicate he might succeed.
I can swing a golf club and do 6 things correct....and the ball shifts on the tee unnoticeably at the last second and the shot goes awry.
Or I can do several things really bad that somehow compensate each other, and the drive goes straight as an arrow. The observer can claim correct prediction post swing,
but it proves nothing. My point? Scoot can fail because of coaching, environment, injuries, or whatever. He could also succeed regardless of his current level of ability
because he just has a blessed career and gets in the perfect situation until he retires. Or, his natural skills develop, like the Blazers think, and he becomes all that.
I made up a saying long ago. It still holds true for me. "I would rather be wrong in predicting success....than right in predicting failure".
