Blazers are also in this position because they have won 4 games out of 6 and can put this thing to rest with another win.

The team didn't look all that great with the 3 warm up games and nobody expected Phoenix to do what they have been , so we control our own destiny and will have to own it.
Dame has been huge in many games but they will be forgotten unless he brings us to win our last two, then he will cement even more his great a player he is.

That’s not how the NBA works, I wish people would realize this. Players constantly mention that playing teams with a bunch of backups is a lot of times the most difficult. There’s no scouting report, and much less structure.

The bubble games so far have been a great example. The blazers have played their best against teams that weren’t resting anyone.

Well if the NBA works as you allude to, maybe the Blazers should be resting starters more as it would lead to wins?

My theory about why playing scrubs doesn't matter against the Blazers is because of defense sucks. Doesn't matter how much you can score on one end if you can't stop the opponent from scoring no matter who is on the floor. Call it "playing down to the competition", but really whether the Mavs have Luka or not they're still going to score against us. We'll probably score pretty well too which is why it will be a close game regardless.

Dame on Doncic

Dame is my man but he shouldn't guard Doncic, imo. He could easily get Dame in foul trouble plus Dame would use to much energy guarding a guy much bigger. You must put Trent on him as he indeed is our best back court defender and is very strong.

He’s great basketball player too. A lot of success last year was because of him. Always seem to hit shots, play great defense. We let him go to give Simons more run smh

No way dame would flourish even more with Doncic. How many years have we talked about needing another ball handler for Dame? Doncic would have been perfect as a 3 for us next to dame and cj. It wouldn’t even be fair

Then we would be unstoppable. While there would be some of same issues as CJ at the 2, Doncic would be better. If we had him at the 3, with Dame and CJ...The NBA would be pissed

Spurs can be eliminated with a loss to Hou, plus a win from Portland

Phoenix will probably beat Philly and tie with us for 9th, meaning the Blazers need to win or PHX takes 9th from them.

If Mem somehow beats Bos which I doubt they lock in a playin spot.
