Then we would be unstoppable. While there would be some of same issues as CJ at the 2, Doncic would be better. If we had him at the 3, with Dame and CJ...The NBA would be pissed

I put a little more useless thought into it....I did do-overs on the 2017 & 2018 drafts

instead of taking Zach and Swanigan in 2017, the Blazers took Bam Abedayo and Dereck White. Then, for 2018 they traded CJ + 24th pick plus future pick for Doncic (plus Blazers still added Trent in 2nd round):

Dame - Trent - Doncic - Abedayo - Nurkic.

That's a pretty awesome lineup

but maybe, the Blazers went for depth in 2017 and just stayed where they were in the draft and added John Collins, Og Anunoby, and Derreck White. Collins is shooting 40% on three's this season and is still a strong rebounder. But Abedayo is a much better defender. What a quandary

This is feeling like an OT game

I wonder if the Mavericks would have done that trade. They were very high and for good reasons on Doncic. He is a far better player than CJ

Or they could have just drafted Giannis instead of CJ. Why does no one talk about that?

Curry is really doing us a solid here.

of course not...but reality doesn't belong in my fantasies, otherwise Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron my own tropical island, and a billion dollars wouldn't belong in them either?

besides that, Atlanta had the 3rd pick and they were settling for Trae Young at 5. Maybe they would have settled for CJ + 24 + future 1st

He’s great basketball player too. A lot of success last year was because of him. Always seem to hit shots, play great defense. We let him go to give Simons more run smh
We "let him go" because we had absolutely no legal way under the CBA to pay him what he commanded in free agency.

If you're going to criticize the team, at least criticize them for something they could actually control.

They were in that position due to some ludicrous contracts that Portland had handed out previously. You have to account for WHY they were in that position in the first place....

I wonder if it might be worth it to try the gimmick defense the Blazers use on Harden on Doncic. They operate somewhat similarly, just try to get the ball out of their hands and live with the results.

I would expect that. Problem is they don't have Westbrook on their team.

2 weeks ago, I copied and pasted the game schedule. Today's Dallas game was to be at 2:00 Pacific Time. For the last hour I raced to finish tasks. At game time, I find no game on. What? I check, it says 3:30. Fuck, I compressed activities for nothing and this changes my whole day's schedule. Did they change the time? I look it up.

They only changed it yesterday!

HCP posted a couple days ago that the game had been moved to be on TNT.
