I wonder, even if we have to win on Thursday, if we should rest Nurk and CJ. GTJ and Hassan can handle things for one game, I would hope. That sucks that he's in pain... bench him. If he wants to tough it out and it won't impact his future health, fine but bring him off the bench to play in spurts when the offense needs some punch but don't start the guy. He isn't the right guy to start when healthy so he definitely shouldn't be starting with that injury... just watch the games, it's totally obvious that he shouldn't be playing the minutes Stotts is playing him.
Not enough. How much did Ginobili get paid to be a sixth man
Exactly. Hasan blocks shots . Nurkic gets scored on or gets called for a foul. He is very slow with his feetI don't think he's been terrible, he's passing the ball well. But a motivated Whiteside is a better player. Just depends which Whiteside shows up. He certainly scares other team's players out of the paint a lot more than Nurkic.
That was a true veteran performance. I give him props. He honestly kept us in it in the first half.Also.
Mellllooooooooooooo
what a throwback performance from him, on both ends.
Wow CJ giving everything playing with a broken back and this place wants him gone?
I would rather have some help and be able to rest the entire starting unit plus Trent and Hassan.I wonder, even if we have to win on Thursday, if we should rest Nurk and CJ. GTJ and Hassan can handle things for one game, I would hope.
It's a must win game, all hands on deck. That being said, I think if we get a chance we should get guys rest and if CJ looks as bad as he did today, send him to the locker room for treatment. Definitely don't play him forty fucking minutes.I wonder, even if we have to win on Thursday, if we should rest Nurk and CJ. GTJ and Hassan can handle things for one game, I would hope.
You called that one quite a while back.Unbelievable.

Manu was way cheap. Had one contract at 52 mil for 6 years. After that he stayed at 2-3 million. How much did Ginobili get paid to be a sixth man
The fact that GTJ isn't starting on Luka just shows how awful our coaching is. We don't need Melo in this lineup.
I lived in Crimea for 8 years but the Russians chased me out.Are you really in Ukraine or from there? I've been working on my ancestry. I got ancestors from Odesa that went through Romania, then the USA.
Funny thing is Stotts literally went the Trent early and started him in the 3rd.Your GTJ take was as good as your Melo take was bad.
Yeh, I hope there will be some apologies from those who said he was suffering from a hurt ego.Hassan was really good in this game.

That's a good idea; maybe we would discover we play better without him at all!I wonder, even if we have to win on Thursday, if we should rest Nurk and CJ. GTJ and Hassan can handle things for one game, I would hope.
OK, OK, I guess I've been too hard on him. These last two games really soured me on him and I guess he has been hurt for both. Now I'm gonna be mad at Olshey some more; because it is our lack of quality depth that apparently forces Stotts to play CJ so much even though he is injured.Wow CJ giving everything playing with a broken back and this place wants him gone?
The most he got paid was 14 mil but during his best stretch he made 9-10 mil per season which is only a little less cap space than CJ takes up right now for us. I would say that Manu was a much better defender, he wasn't undersized for his position, he knew when to take over games and when to just spot up shoot. I think Ginobili in his prime was much much better than what we get from CJ at his best. How much did Ginobili get paid to be a sixth man
That shows how little trust Stotts must have in Simons; although I don't see how there is any way Simons could have done worse than CJ in the last two games.Wow CJ giving everything playing with a broken back and this place wants him gone?
they got the fourth one right! From Lakers Forum:
“No one can guard Dame”
“Blazers just need to shut down AD and we’re done”
“We are going to get swept by Portland”
“The Blazers can’t defend against their grandmothers”
Funny Stuff

Yeah, since we play last, if all of the other teams lose the Suns, Spurs and Grizz then we can sit whoever the hell we want to. Maybe get Nas some playing time since I'm pretty damn sure he could be helping us right now, in the play-in and the playoffs. If any of those teams win their game on Thursday then it's a must win, all hands on deck because the advantage of only having to win one out of two games is so huge.If they get some help it won't be a must win.
The rest is much needed right now. Obviously CJ needs to sit. Nurk looks like he needs it. We all know Dame needs it.

Yeah the only things I put on CJ are when he constantly passes up open spot up threes to pound the rock and his half assed defense (sure the guy would be a bad defender even if he gave it his all but he wouldn't be as horrible as he is). I put everything else on Stotts for letting him play his inefficient offense and playing him so damn much with his terrible defense and inability to know his role. Obviously though the buck stops with Olshey for paying so goddamn much and other things that I won't talk about until the season is over. That shows how little trust Stotts must have in Simons; although I don't see how there is any way Simons could have done worse than CJ in the last two games.
See this is the part i just don't understand? Mad at Olshey now?OK, OK, I guess I've been too hard on him. These last two games really soured me on him and I guess he has been hurt for both.
