Girls participate against boys all the time in high school wrestling. They use this thing called weight to determine who should fight who. Does this eliminate injuries? No. Should we just outlaw that from happening? No. Are those injuries happening at a higher rate than same sex wrestling? Don't know.
You provided one example, but I'm pretty sure that was a professional match. Those people got paid.
What happens in professional sports is very different than high school.
The only case I can think of was a trans guy in Thailand competing in MMA.Has this even happened?
Is this really a problem that needs to be solved?
I've seen this example used a few times in this thread.
So... boxing...
Regulate glove weight and require head gear. Make sure refs are qualified and experienced.
Make sure this applies to all boxing matches no matter the sex of the participants.
I provided one example. It wasn't the only example. I'm not talking entirely about safety. I'm talking about fairness.

How is this fair?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/07/01/cori-gauff-shocks-venus-williams-wimbledon/Why even have womens sports? Why have things like Title 9?
If someone isn't good enough to be one of the best competing as a male, and then they turn around and identify as a female and now they're winning state championships.... what does that say?
When the 203rd best male tennis player in the world can beat both of the Williams sisters back to back........

Seriously people think someone will pretend so they can dominate a sport and gain fame and fortune out of it? Lol
Oh, I support their rights, but...
No you don't. It sounds like you grudgingly accept some.
Sorry, I should have quoted instead of just responding , but nate clearly says someone not good enough all of a sudden identifying and winning state championshipsDude, thats not whats being discussed here, at least thats not my POV. I don't think that people are making the decision to be a female just to kick someones ass and be a better athlete than another woman. What I am saying is that its UNFAIR for the biological women to compete due to them being BIOLOGICALLY different

So now we're concerned with protecting and preserving the sanctity of high school athletics?
Or you can let people self identify, because I imagine the cases you're so concerned about would number in the teens. And then who gives a shit. It's a discussion that's being stretched to absurd lengths. What about a 7 foot tall boxer?!?! What about Big bruising boxers?! What if someone just flips one year so they can win a sport?! Who gives a shit. It's high school athletics. I'd say gender identity positivity would be a far bigger deal than a few lost championships. But yes, go to the next absurd argument and Why even have split sports?
The latest liberal fad? Trying to care about people? Gtfo.
To call caring about people a fad is pretty fucking lame.If you can't see the harm that it does to others, I guess that's up to you.

someone earlier mentioned how there was a similar argument with black athletes. Think of all the poor white baseball players that couldn't be professionals because we had to go and let blacks in. It was a slippery slope!!
it's just funny to me how women's rights become inconvenient when they get in the way of the latest liberal fad.
You’re gonna have to point me to all the examples of me being a misogynist.I have to say, I'm a little sus of the sudden outpouring of "won't someone please think of women's rights?" from certain people, people who generally I wouldn't say care much about those sorts of things. I'm not sure this sudden feminist turn is all that genuine--seems more like a position taken that seems like a convenient bludgeon to people who don't understand feminism or trans rights in the first place and think one is counter to the other.

Women bad, men good.
Dammit! You got me!Ummm...
