If you want the fatass in foul trouble, make him guard Kanter first.
He hardly ever picks up fouls guarding Kanter though... It doesn't matter if he fouls him or not they don't seem to call it most of the time.

Yeah, I'd want Meyers to play Jockitch very physical. But I had the same thought as dviss. If he came out of the opening tip doing it he'd get two very quick fouls on him. Better to have him come in after game intensity has been established and the refs have settled in to how they are going to "manage" the game.

Completely false.

Why did he go out of the first quarter with 2 fouls last game?

They were both from guarding Kanter.

I didnt see the 1st half last night. I have definitely seen enough to know he fouls Kanter a lot more than he gets called for though.

Well, he does that to everyone right? :dunno:

I simply can't understand why they let him get away with so much.

He's soft, overrated, and uncoordinated while attempting to move laterally...

The 4th quarter last night they called a foul on Meyers because Jokic turned his shoulder, Meyers stood him up, and Jokic who has bullied everyone all series wasnt expecting to hit someone who could stand up to him, so he then just kind of died and about 2 seconds later they decided hey its a foul on Meyers... I always under the impression the defender doesnt just have to move out of the way...

Oh and that flagrant one on Meyers, how was that flagrant anything? That looked more like Jokic being that kid who's been a foot taller than everyone his whole life who finally has to play against someone his size and crying about it. It was kind of funny because the game was done not even sure why they had their starters in.

It was unnecessary. That forearm can puncture a lung.

Ask Gerald Wallace. Ask JJ Barea about that forearm.

It's not defense. It was not a basketball play. I agreed with that call.

The problem is we have a great guard rotation and center rotation(when healthy) and a complete dog shit forward rotation. They are all decent players but every one of them is more of an NBA bench player than starter.

Chief (streaky)
Moe (d only)
Zach (not ready)
Hood (consistency)
Layman (who knows)

All of those are quality NBA bench players, I believe Zach is most likely to be the best NBA starter of the bunch. However on a loaded team Hood would be acceptable as a starter.

Dame
CJ
Hood
Zach
Nurk

Guessing that’s ^ our 2020 playoff starting lineup, which is better than what we have now.

That was a terrible call...

I'm not opposed to a different starting lineup, but my take on the last game was lack of focus/effort on defense. I especially noticed several sloppy plays by Chief and CJ that seemed ambivalent in terms of effort. Several uncontested layups while players just watched.

If your Stotts do you decide that you are better off motivating the existing starters, which has worked at times, or changing the lineup, which is completely untested and takes players out of their precious rhythm? It seems lose-lose for Stotts.

Sit Aminu in favor of Zach. Period.

Play Meyers. Play Jake.

Play with aggression. Be the aggressor. Get a fucking rebound instead of sprinting back down the court as soon as the shot is released.

Then again, Terry never takes my advice.

The refs give Moe fouls like they are going out of style. Ain't no way Stotts alters the lineup. I am 100% convinced of that. Yes, it will be the end of the series too.

This offseason we need a backup point guard and a starting power forward.

Jake has played 11 minutes in this series. He has contributed 1 point and 1 rebound in 11 minutes. Not sure that sort of production is really going to help. Plus as soon as he comes in they just attack him on defense.

Aminu is having his worst post season in his career.

9 ppg, 7.6 rebounds off 35% shooting and 30% from three.

If people wonder why Dame is struggling, it's because people like Aminu are stinking up the joint.

That's because Mo fouls like it's going out of style. :dunno:

For what it's worth I have a Pistons connection and he told me that if it was his choice he'd for sure do the following:

Blake Griffin

for

Evan Turner, Meyers Leonard, Zach Collins, 2019 #25, and a 2020 1st lottery protected.
My pipedream is something like:

Harkless and #25 for Prince and #41.
Then ET, ML, ZC, 2020 and 2022 1st round picks for BG

Then resign Kanter with the Full MLE, Hood for $4.15M (Non-Bird), & Aminu for $7M.

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (23) / Hood (18) / Simons (7)
Prince (32) / Aminu (12) / Hood (4)
Griffin (30) / Aminu (18)
Kanter (28) / Labissiere (15) / Griffin (5)

Dame struggled last season when Aminu shot great.

Why sign Aminu when Vonleh will be cheaper?

I'm looking for energy, attitude, and fresh legs. Whatever it takes.

Ive seen it probably 20x times now, and I still don't think its worth a flagrant. In my opinion that play happens a lot and most of the time its just a foul... I guess if they want to call that flagrant than Im ok with it if its consistently called consistently.

It's for safety.

He shoulda put the arm up straight and actually tried to play some fucking defense...

I am looking for more points then the Nuggets and Jake doesn't help on either end of the court for that to happen.

I biggest problem we have one rim proctecter on this team and he comes off the bench. Zach has not rebound well except a couple of games. But what he has done is block shots and change shots at that rim. Plus he has guard Jokic and Millsap pretty good this series. I would start Dame CJ Aminu Zach Kanter. I would play our guards on there guards because Murray is torching our towards so that not working and I think that's has something to do we not rebounding very well because they out position to rebound. The reason Aminu over Harkless better rebounder and bigger threat from 3.
