If we lose Kanter how do guys feel about Cousins on a 1 year prove you’re healthy deal? Him and Nurk have the same agent right?

Nah. Theres many teamd thatd give him a better offer for a 1-year prove it deal. Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Sacramento, etc.

Theres so many FA's this year I think it's kind of hard to tell what the market for some of these guys will be.

I understand. I just don't really have any gauge at all on what most of these guys are going to get, what teams are even interested in some of the guys. Like Atlanta, I can't imagine they'd be interested in Cousins, but maybe it's possible.

I'm actually kind of looking forward to FA even though the Blazers won't be much of a player in it, but it should be fun.
 
Fuck it, bring Ed or Noah back then, I’d love both. Hey salary cap nerds(I mean that nicely) is this more or less likely than being able to sign Kanter and Hood...

My main offseason goal. No more ET! Even if they lose Kanter / Hood / Curry and chief and can only replace them with Gleaguers, it would be worth it if ET is being paid by a different team next season.

I think to trade him before the season started we would have to attach 2 1s to him. I just don’t think anyone will take him until the deadline possibly. He’s a big expiring.

We have $5.3 million or minimum contracts to offer Kanter and any other players from other teams. So if you are trying to get both Vonleh and Ed you'd basically be saying that one would either be willing to sign for the minimum or both for a combination of $5.3 million. With how both played this year, it seems unlikely to sign both.

I’d like Noah then, he only made 1.6 this season so even with a raise seems more attainable than Ed who I believe was around 4.5 mil. Seems like a nice backup to Zach if Chief leaves.

What Vonleh made this year is irrelevant. A 23 year old PF with his athleticism and is getting better is probably gonna at least get the Tax-MLE somewhere.
 
I wonder what Miami's going to do with Whiteside. Reports are that he's out of their starting line-up, and that they want to preserve 2020 cap space. I wonder if a Turner+assets for Whiteside deal might make sense for both sides.

Assuming Kanter's going to cost too much to retain, and Nurk won't be back full-strength until 2020, you don't think he'd be a decent and sensible stopgap?

Or do you just think Miami would demand much too much in trade for him to be reasonably acquirable?

Maybe its incorrect but he has always seemed like a bit of a headcase to me, but if he fell in line behind Dames leadership I think thats huge upgrade over turner. Of course I think air might be a huge upgrade over ET...
 
Number one more likely vonleh won't want to come back here especially how Stotts use him I always thought he was wrong too. I don't think Davis will be back due to olshey didn't want him last year. Now I due believe that Kanter or Hood will be back next year. It might be one year contract and work out a better deal when Turner Harkless Leonard contracts expires.

This Last loss was like a diver with no air in the tank.
In tonight's game, the first 10 minutes will tell me a lot about their hunger to waste the Nuggets.
Every available player should play minutes. I did not see Skal yet. Jake must be exiled.

We'll see. That video of he and Jonathan Yim was pretty heartwarming. He still is in touch with our staff.

You think he's not in touch with Terry?

I think there's a good possibility that he'd come back if given a defined role.

Yea we just have to wait but if he define role with team before we probably wouldn't have trade him. I like vonleh has a player we sure good use is rebounding now. You still can good conversation with your old coach back and forth it doesn't mean Stotts like him as player. If he did he wouldn't use has he did when he was here. But there going big decision this off season for olshey with not to much money to play with.

Blazers don't have a 2nd round pick till 2022, and they don't have their 2nd in 2023. Offering a 2nd 4 drafts from now won't carry any leverage

besides all that, Brooklyn being willing to take on Faried and Arthur doesn't mean anybody will be willing to take on Turner

Their 2020 2md round pick is theirs if its 55th or better. So they could trade their 2020 2nd if its 31-55, and if its 56th or worse, it doesnt convey (at that point its meaningless anyway).

I can point out other moves. They happen all the time. Obviously - different year, different market, no teams with straight up cap space at the draft. But even Turner and the 25th pick for Plumlee, J.Adams, and one of their 2nds is a possibility that could save us $6M.
