No way in hell do I want Smart, he is hard nosed defender but is horrendous offensive player who thinks he’s better than he is instead of accepting his role.

of the names mentioned I like Chauncey or Gundy

Correct.

Olshey's 1st coach interview question: "Tell me how you'd utilize CJ to make me look good for not trading him? I don't get my ass kissed enough for drafting Dame since he was already on the Blazer's draft board and my Meyers pick didn't really pan out."
 
I’d also rather trade dame then hire Jason Kidd. Because if we keep dame and don’t hire Kidd, dame is gonna want out in a year or two.

Those who wanted Stotts gone, fully knowing that Olshey wasn't getting fired, you should understand that an outcome like Kidd as his replacement was a very realistic.

I would like to see management ask Powell for input on who he wants for a coach.

Was Stotts a good coach? Not really. But he was at least mediocre and has been with the team for years. We are probably going to replace him with someone that is only marginally more talented but has no experience with our players. By the time they gel with Dame he will be out of his prime.

A big plus would be getting rid of CJ, signing Powell and teaching Dame better defense. Upgrade the personnel and hire a strong defensive assistant coach. If not Vanderpool, I'd love to see Ime here. He has been learning from Pop for several years plus his calling card was defense when he played.

Ok, fuck this. Hire Hammond.

Kidd will alienate the fan base due to his suckage and wife beating.

We hire Kidd, half the fans leave in protest and he sucks.

We don't hire Kidd and he's the Lakers HC, Dame will end up there.

Either way, it's the beginning of the end of the franchise.
 
Dame stay in your lane. Your buddy CJ should leave your side soon as well.
