Most of us are, and that's usually a problem.
Only a problem for the person that's wrong.

Nope...actually, Ford did have corroboration.
Also, Ford went to the FBI....
I find it funny that you have such difficulty admitting that you made a silly comment--but whatevs.
One question is "a mountain"? OK...I find it funny that you're making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Maybe you missed the other post I had where I said that "the left" is not some homogeneous monolithic group. If you want to dig into archives and show where I personally am a hypocrite, then go ahead, I'm sure it would be a fun research project. But, what I have said here or in the past is not representative of "the left" and statements by others in "the left" is not representative of me. I wouldn't and didn't vote for Biden in the primary. I liked Pete Buttigeig personally. But if you seem to know the best way for me not to be a hypocrite, who should I vote for in the general election? Or should I just not vote? Thanks. This is the same philosophy some republicans had regarding Hilary. But the Republicans didn't push the #metoo movement, so shouldn't be held to the same standard.

It was a test balloon. You showed by your response that no real discussion was welcome. And for that I thank you.
It's your post, it can say whatever you want it to.Test ballon my ass...but you're quite welcome.
But to make you happy, I edited my original post...all better?

Totally off topic, but are you a Blazer fan? I don't recall seeing you post in the main forum, but I could be wrong. If not, how did you find your way here?
Nope...actually, Ford did have corroboration.
Also, Ford went to the FBI, Reade did not...Ford was sworn in under oath, Reade probably never will be.
Not to mention that Ford was credible while there are multiple compelling holes in Reade's story.
It's really no contest.
Edited; (in order to make some people happy)
There are holes in Reade's story and I'm uncomfortable in accepting her version of events because of them. That said, I still think that there needs to be a formal investigation process by the DNC before awarding Biden the nomination. That's all I've ever called for. Many righties are saying that a DNC investigation would be a sham. Maybe so, but it's the DNC and convention delegates that put forward the Party's nominee. The Republicans can try to make hay of the issue in the general election...if they dare given Trump's shoddy history with women.
I think the media (right, left, center, and other) will do a more thorough and transparent job of investigation than the DNC ever could.

Yep, Innocent until proven guilty, I mean that's as basic as it gets, and something all kids are taught from the get go, along with other constitutional rights.Just pointing out that there hasn't ever been a standard around here or in the media of "innocent until proven guilty" so maybe it's not a valid point to try to tag on those who oppose your views. All I'm suggesting is there could be a little less discussion of the other side's "hypocrisy" and a little more on the subject itself.
Ford asked the FBI to investigate her claims as a part of the Senate confirmation process. They were reluctant given the number of years it had been since the alleged assault and the difficulty that would impose on getting evidence, but they undertook the investigation at the behest of the Senate. She also testified under oath as a part of the confirmation hearings. Ms. Reade has offered to testify under oath, but given that there's no formal process currently underway to review the assault charges, I don't know how such testimony would be obtained or by whom. The primary difference is in circumstances beyond her control. Senate confirmation hearings vs. no formal review process. I don't believe that says anything either way about her claims.
As far as education goes, are you saying that you have to have a certain level of education in order to know if you've been assaulted? Or are you saying that we should give more credence to someone because they have a higher level of degree than someone else? I find that kind of a preposterous notion. Dr. Henry Kissinger had an AB degree summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in political science from Harvard College. Did you trust anything he said about Vietnam?

Maybe so, but absent someone revealing a major gotcha, there isn't likely to be anything other than the usual talking heads giving their varying conclusions. There probably isn't ever going to be a satisfactory conclusion...which seems to be the norm.
Biden was vetted pretty heavily in 2008 when he was selected by Obama to be vice president. You don't think the republicans were looking for any dirt on both Biden and Obama? Like you said, holes are appearing all over Reades account right now with facts changing and info being ommited or added. It's near impossible to really do an investigation of a situation that took place almost 30 years ago just like we saw in the kavanaugh situation. Not sure if and to what extent kavanaugh had ever been vetted before the supreme court nomination. but in comparison, kavanaugh was going through a vetting process that is necessary to become a supreme court justice just as Biden was vetted as a vice president. The republican lead senate also prohibited info and witnesses to testify and then when they were given the opportunity to do some more research and interview witnesses there was little time given to be able to do any proper investigation. Do you want the same kind of investigation for Biden now, even though he passed a vetting process after it allegedley happened
Sorry, no offense, but I'm not going through this again.
If Biden is on the ticket, will you vote for him over Trump?
This is much the same as when Trump rasn against Hilary and what the Reps said.... And got and continue to get blasted for it.
Trump should drop out, but if he doesnt, anyone but Clinton. But now with the rolse reversed, its the same, regardless of the #metoo movement.
Again, same narrative. Anyone but Trump, regardless of the #Metoo movement.
This is the same philosophy some republicans had regarding Hilary. But the Republicans didn't push the #metoo movement, so shouldn't be held to the same standard.
The narrative that you just quoted is anyone but Trump, regardless of the #metoo contradiction.
This is what the republicans iv e seen have been pointing out.
We all said Biden should step down. That is a lot more than the right in here said when Trump was running and 16 accusers came out against him.
Will I vote for Biden. I don't know. I haven't decided. I didn't vote for Biden in the primary. I wouldn't vote for Trump either way.
Fair point that Mags wasn't posting here during the Kavanaugh debate and probably didn't see what was posted here. I should have said that those on the right see the response by the left this time around as totally inconsistent, and therefore hypocritical with, what they were saying about a woman's right to be believed during the Kavanaugh issue.
If Biden were to step down, who would become the Democratic front-runner in your opinion?
Bernie
We said we believed Ford. We said we believed Reade. There is no inconsistency.

How would the vetting process relating to him becoming VP possibly include this alleged assault when Ms. Reade only made her claims recently?
Sorry bro, but this is rich. The trump supporters in here have no place to reprimand Democrats when it comes to sexual assaults and presidential candidates.
