Thursday or FridaySo what's the latest official word? Still "two weeks (from the injury) and reevaluate?" When will that two weeks be up?

I'd rather we sit Nurkic. If Portland beats the Warriors, our draft pick becomes really mediocre. Going deeper into the playoffs would kill our first-round pick utterly.
That's exactly what I'm sayingSo you're saying Blazers in 6?![]()

Our draft pick will be set in stone Wednesday night. Playoff performance doesn't impact our pick.I'd rather we sit Nurkic. If Portland beats the Warriors, our draft pick becomes really mediocre. Going deeper into the playoffs would kill our first-round pick utterly.
Nope, and I don't care. ZERO reason to play him this year. Dame may be our best player, but Nurk is our most valuable.Have you seen his x-rays Dr. Man?

Screw the draft pick. Play to win, period.I'd rather we sit Nurkic. If Portland beats the Warriors, our draft pick becomes really mediocre. Going deeper into the playoffs would kill our first-round pick utterly.

So, should we sit Dame, too? What about C.J.? Is it OK to play Harkless, Crabbe? What about Meyers? Should we play him and hope he gets hurt?
And yes, if he is healthy (and the doctors, who have actual medical degrees and access to his x-rays and medical history, will determine that), there is a reason to play him - post season experience, of which he currently has none. He's 22 and still improving. The more he plays, the better he will get. He was hungry to make the playoffs. He wanted this. If he's healthy enough to play, he should.

If he plays, hopefully he comes back for G3. Give him more rest, then unleash him in front of the home crowd. But I would lean to the most cautious approach and not play him at all.
I'd like a doctor not associated with the team look at him and x-rays and give an opinion.
If there was a 1% chance he could make the injury worse, just sit it out. I find it hard to believe a fracture would be completely healed in 2 weeks even if it was non-displaced. He might be just fine on it in a straight line and up and down but then turns a certain way and really makes it worse.
At the earliest I can maybe see him back for games 3 and 4 at home. Then it will just be how many minutes he can go after being out for almost 3 weeks.
^^^ @Boob-No-More Of course we don't know the specifics. It was just a general guideline as I work with many Doctors and have asked several of them about his injury as much as we know of it. Anything is possible.
Not giving a broken leg more time to heal for a meaningless playoff series......What could go wrong? So, should we sit Dame, too? What about C.J.? Is it OK to play Harkless, Crabbe? What about Meyers? Should we play him and hope he gets hurt?

Blazers doctors have historically given great advice.Who says it won't have time to heal? Why do you assume so much? You haven't seen the x-rays. You have no idea about the extent of his injury or how it's healing. I'll trust the judgement of the doctors over your paranoia.

I haven't signed in since preseason. I think we should bring Burk back if he's healthy by third game of playoffs!View attachment 13656 I haven't signed in since preseason. I think we should bring Burk back if he's healthy by third game of playoffs!
