As others have stated we have 15 players on our roster. So we'd have to cut someone just to sign someone to a 10-day contract. They would be eligible for the playoffs if we signed them for the rest of the season assuming they weren't on another team at any point after March 1st.

In theory we could sign Gortat and he'd be eligible for the playoffs. Who would you cut to make that happen though? Is cutting that person and adding even more luxury tax worth it?

Aminu, Curry, Hood, Layman, and Kanter are the only players that don't have guaranteed money next year too. We can't cut any of those guys (in my opinion). It would be stupid to cut someone not on that list and have to owe them money next year for not being on the team too. So cutting Skal isn't really an option either, nor do I think that would be smart.

Basically we're stuck with the roster as is.

Or, and bear with my on this, a GM could not sign stupid contracts that put the team in a bad cap situation. :wink:

I fucking hate how long the NBA season is. Freak injuries can happen, but injuries due to overuse are a serious pet peeve of mine because they're so easy to control. I hated seeing Dame play 48 mins last night.

That is a real possibility.

Every serious injury I've had on one side of my body has lead to an overcompensation injury on the other side.

And back and forth we go.
 
Pardon my ignorance, but when you have screws or plates etc put into you like this, are they eventually removed?

I don't know? Gortat could actually make a difference? Just saying. Pretty sad though that Meyers is bad enough to make me think that could be an option at all.

Usually they are kept inside. There are some rare circumstances that will cause them to have to be removed.

I don't think it's worth the financial impact and who knows if Gortat is even in game shape to play anymore.

I understand. But seriously i don't have much confidence in Meyers. I want the best. I know he tries really hard. I understand he has stayed positive and has always been ready for whatever he is asked to do...... Oh hell.... Lets see what happens! GO MEYERS!

They kind of did that last year against the Pelicans, he averaged 17.5 minutes and played in all 4 games. I was expecting them to build on that this year after letting Ed go.

Zach's minutes per game this year though: 17.5
