I think our first meeting will be GM to GM on a trade of Kaman and Henderson to someone.Things awfully quiet about Neil's first meeting.

Damn...50 FA's and they don't have a single one going to the Blazers. That is the league wide perception of Portland as a destination. Neil has his work cut out for him.

Au contraire - we're #14!Damn...50 FA's and they don't have a single one going to the Blazers. That is the league wide perception of Portland as a destination. Neil has his work cut out for him.

14. Danny Green: 4 years, $48 million with Your Sacramento Kings! (Wishful thinking.) (4 years, $48 million with the Blazers.)
I would kind of be okay with that, although it would be kind of galling for CJ to be a bench player on the worst team in the West.
Afflalo rumored at near 36 mil, 3 seasons - friggin nuts if true
Can't trade a guy who doesn't have a contract for next year.Could we trade Wes Matthews to the Cavs today for Haywood's 10.5 MIL contract? After today it wouldn't matter since I doubt Wes come back but if we could do it now (under this year's contract) then it would give us option to get Hibbert today instead of tomorrow. Or 3 way with Indy for Hibbert.
Cap guys, is any of this possible? @BrianFromWA and etc. I would have to think CLE would prefer Wes over Splitter.
I don't think so because he's technically a free agent. Haywood would will be on the Cavs if they choose to. That wouldn't apply to matthewsCould we trade Wes Matthews to the Cavs today for Haywood's 10.5 MIL contract? Probably true but we are still in this year so didn't know if that mattered. I guess we could sign and trade him tomorrow then but that doesn't do much other then if we do the 3way. Otherwise it is just cap space for cap space if we traded him for Haywood. Can't trade a guy who doesn't have a contract for next year.
What you could probably do is do a sign and trade for Haywood to sabatoge the cap space. I suspect Cleveland would much rather have Matthews than Splitter. Then we can release HaywoodProbably true but we are still in this year so didn't know if that mattered. Coon CBA #100 said:Can't trade a player...When the trade deadline has passed. Teams are free to make trades again once their season has ended4, but cannot trade players whose contracts are ending or could end due to an option or ETO.
What?!?!RoLo in LaLa land.
Gross.
How will they have enough cap space? Is this something they will sign after they grab their players?-Woj: Kawhi agree to framework of a max extension with Spurs
AD $145 million 5 year extension. Why can't we offer that much to Aldridge?
Why would we want to? That's 30+ extra mil iircAD $145 million 5 year extension. Why can't we offer that much to Aldridge?
