Things awfully quiet about Neil's first meeting.
I think our first meeting will be GM to GM on a trade of Kaman and Henderson to someone.

But if I had to pick a free agent first meeting then it would be Monroe then Aminu. Not sexy necessarily (at least not the second one).

Damn...50 FA's and they don't have a single one going to the Blazers. That is the league wide perception of Portland as a destination. Neil has his work cut out for him.
Au contraire - we're #14!

14. Danny Green: 4 years, $48 million with Your Sacramento Kings! (Wishful thinking.) (4 years, $48 million with the Blazers.)

I would be okay with that, although it would be kind of galling for CJ to be a bench player on the worst team in the West.

Saw that...it is right after the "wishful thinking". If that applies to the Kings, fine but Danny Green is not exactly a recoup from LA.

Danny Green sucks. If he gets $12mil per season, that makes Batum's last contract a steal (even if he did suck it up last year).

Afflalo rumored at near 36 mil, 3 seasons - friggin nuts if true

That would suck if he went back to Denver AND they get a future 1st. What an unfortunate turn of events Lemony Snickets style.

Interesting ranking they have:

15. Roy Hibbert: He opted in.
16. Greg Monroe: 2 years, $30 million with the Knicks.
17. Tristan Thompson: 5 years, $55 million with the Cavaliers.
18. Timofey Mozgov: The team picked up his option.
19. Paul Millsap: 2 years, $38 million with the Rockets.
20. Khris Middleton: 4 years, $40 million with the Bucks.
21. Robin Lopez: 2 years, $18 million with the Lakers.
22. DeMarre Carroll: 4 years, $40 million with the Hawks.
23. Thaddeus Young: 4 years, $44 million with the Nets.
24. Wesley Matthews: 4 years, $52 million with the Mavericks, last year only $2 million guaranteed.

Could we trade Wes Matthews to the Cavs today for Haywood's 10.5 MIL contract? After today it wouldn't matter since I doubt Wes come back but if we could do it now (under this year's contract) then it would give us option to get Hibbert today instead of tomorrow. Or 3 way with Indy for Hibbert.

Cap guys, is any of this possible? @BrianFromWA and etc. I would have to think CLE would prefer Wes over Splitter.

Can't trade a guy who doesn't have a contract for next year.

I don't think so because he's technically a free agent. Haywood would will be on the Cavs if they choose to. That wouldn't apply to matthews

Probably true but we are still in this year so didn't know if that mattered. I guess we could sign and trade him tomorrow then but that doesn't do much other then if we do the 3way. Otherwise it is just cap space for cap space if we traded him for Haywood.

What you could probably do is do a sign and trade for Haywood to sabatoge the cap space. I suspect Cleveland would much rather have Matthews than Splitter. Then we can release Haywood

Can't trade a player...When the trade deadline has passed. Teams are free to make trades again once their season has ended4, but cannot trade players whose contracts are ending or could end due to an option or ETO.

So while the season is ended (and why we could trade Batum and Blake), Wes' contract is ending, and we can't trade him until July 9 at the earliest in a S&T

-Woj: Kawhi agree to framework of a max extension with Spurs

AD $145 million 5 year extension. Why can't we offer that much to Aldridge?
