Im hearing locally that Marc Gasol will stay in Memphis for another 4 or 5 yrs. Hellz yeah. But if I'm him I'm signing a 1 and 1 yr contract (2nd yrs being a player opt) since his best friend mike will be a free agent next year and Pau will have a opt with the Bulls. Also Noah would be of the books in Chicago so he would definitely have more on the table next year.

It absolutely does. they must release everyone that has cap holds, have Duncan and Ginobli sign for much much less and trade away a splitter contract.

Yes, unless they are pulling off the Diaw and Patty or Splitter (alone) deal to CLE for Haywood. If not, then it absolutely makes it impossible (from what I can tell) for them to pay LMA.
