Josh Smith to the Clippers, I thought he and Howard were best buds. Why did he not go back to the Rockets?

Maybe he thought the Clippers were closer to contention than the Rockets are.

The Rockets didn't offer him the MLE they had available. Ouch. That has to piss Dwight off

See the post right below yours. If they used their MLE on Smith, they wouldn't have it available for McDaniels. Seems like the Rockets made a choice between the two.

Wow, the Clippers are going to be even tougher.

So many potentially great teams in the West. Warriors, Spurs, Thunder and Clippers are all going to win near 60 games if healthy.

Better coached for sure

Probably at some things. But McHale did out coach him in the playoffs. Took a team with a lot of injuries and beat the Clips who I thought had better talent.

The Clippers are just loaded with players......who I can't stand. They will definitely be in the running for the most hated team in the league.

But if I am a Clipper fan I would be happy.

Looks like CLE might be talking to POR about taking on Haywood's non-guaranteed deal (plus give us a 2nd rounder I would assume) so that we give them a big TPE (Traded Player Exception) in return.

So about the 58th pick in the draft (Give or take about 2 spots):ghoti:

Cleveland has 2nd round picks from 2 other teams due in the next two years. I would ask for both although they are #31-55 protected like the pick for traded for Harkless. Since we would be doing them a huge favor and none of those picks are Cleveland's anyhow, I would actually want something else as well.. Wouldn't it be ironic if the Cavs use the TPE to get someone who makes a difference in their win over SA in the Finals.

I'd ride w/ the devil himself IF it meant we could hurt SA!:headbang::evilfire:

That's a different story. I would want both. I guess Philly and Utah can absorb it as well, so unfortunately there is competition for it. I read this will not happen until after they work out a deal with Tristan Thompson.

Are they? Doc Rivers gets a lot of credit for his coaching ability, but he had one foot out the door in Boston.
I happen to think McHale is one of the worst coaches in the modern era. No matter what Boston was up to, you put these two guys next to each other, I pick Rivers everytime

I had to update that pick information. It looks like the picks are from the Clippers and the Kings and both are protected through #55....not worth much.

Wow, I'm a bit shocked. McHale is a pretty solid coach, IMO. He's a God awful GM though

"Alex, I'll take, Who is Cedi Osman for $200 please."

A 2nd round pick this year who it doesn't look like has been signed. He would be perfect for Portland. They could stash him overseas where he has been playing anyhow and it wouldn't count against their cap nor would they have to put him on their roster.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Cedi-Osman-7133/ A 20 year old SF that would be one of those 'stock up' pieces Olshey was talking about when they drafted Diaz.

McHale actually starts to look okay next to Vinny DelNegro......but Rivers is highly overrated. He actually thinks his kid can play at the NBA level.....
