Love that VW
especially that license plate held on by the passenger windshield wiper...that's hood man! Those are so cool you can leave the keys in the ignition and nobody would think ever about stealing it

Under the Coronado bridge from Chicano park, San Diego, CA
I drove my motorcycle over that bridge a thousand times in 1973 when I was stationed at Coronado Island. I can't believe how the empty tumbleweed fields that used to surround that bridge are now filled with houses.....last time I flew to San Diego I didn't recognize it at all....

The area under the bridge had a lot of graffiti that became a national landmark, it is called Chicano park now and the street art commemorates a lot of the anti-immigration struggle that happened around that area.

Did anyone see the Lovejoy Columns before they were cut down? Some were saved but it just isn't the same.

Never had a chance, unfortunately - we were new to Portland around the time, knew we were going to start a family so concentrated before that on going to exotic places like Africa and Turkey or going cross country for entertainment. Free Time in Portland for me was mostly at PIR as I suspected it would be harder to do once them babies arrived...
