The OFFICIAL Stampede vs Vipers Game Thread 1/3/14.......

I'm the guy who got bored watching the D league game and took exception to the criticism of Mo. I used LeBron as an example. I could've used Kobe, Steve Nash, or any number of scorers who turn the ball over more than Mo.. I see value in Mo's assist improvement and how he affects the tempo of the game. It was not a comparison of LeBron and Mo...it was an example of how great players take risks and sometimes that translates to turnovers. Yup, I usually cheer for the underdog in the discussion and always cheer for the guy who plays for Portland. I think Mo is a fantastic 6 man for this team. Is he the league MVP? nah...never even suggested that

I'm with Nate on this issue. To use an example like Lebron of someone who takes risks that sometimes translate to TOs isn't a good example, IMO. Lebron can take whatever risks he wants because . . . he is Lebron fucking James. He does so much good on that court, whatever risks he takes is way outbalanced by everything else he does on the court. If say Meyers Leonard or T-Rob starts taking risks and turning the ball over. . . that is a different story.

I am in your camp in thinking Mo is a good back up PG for the Blazers.

Blazer Fanatic is tough and attacks like a man, yet is not a manhater. She's so tough that you don't dare flirt. She is the only kind of woman who will survive on this board. As we saw a few months ago, the fawning type can't survive here. BF earns her pay. I'm sure she dislikes my critiquing players, but it's more important to me to have a woman on board.

So treat her like a man and let the fights begin. I like her presence.

You repeat this as much as Nate disses Mo. :)

Almost 500 posts in a NBDL game thread?!?

This is the home of the best fans in the NBA!

Shabazz Muhammad was sent to the D-League. Unlike CJ, he's rehabbing his inflated draft spot.

I know this is now off topic for this thread but as someone who was at the game CJ clearly has a lot of talent. And for some one who is playing his first game back and clearly looked gased at times I thought he played well. Had he played a full game he would have flirted with a triple double. I am very encouraged that he will fit in well with the Blazers.

I missed the game and have only read this last page, so how did he look? What were the assists like? Does thread the needle or simple passes to the open shooter?

He was clearly the best player on the team until he got tired. Which didn't take long. Good handle, very fluid, good passing, good nose for the ball, sweet mid-range shot, missed all his threes. Didn't press, didn't push himself beyond his limit, paced himself in fact.

He got a large chunk of them in transition, but in the half court he had a couple nice assists off the dribble for a layup/jump shot.

He looked really solid and had no problems getting past his defender with the crossover.

You can always go to Youtube and watch the replay of the game. He came in at about 6 minutes in the first quarter, went out, and came back same time in the 2nd. 2nd half he came in at 6 minutes in the 3rd and finished the quarter, and that was it for him.

Thanks for your 20 posts from the arena, with pictures! It was great to have our own board reporter there.

He was bigger than all those 6-0 D-League guards, so he bowled them down when he dribbled to the hoop.

He still looks like a really tall Erkel.

I'm getting the feeling that your not a fan of Mr McCollum.

I have to admit his size did catch me by surprise when I watched the highlights. Not used to seeing him bigger than his opponents. But no doubt he is a shot maker. He scores from various ways. Can't have too many players with those skills.

Wow, I just that entire game thread.

All I can say is Blazer Fanatic lets me flirt with her, you guys just have no game.

He's a broken record about it. Embellishes a fair amount, and the negativity and redundancy combines for what amounts to spam threads about who to trade for Mo. Mo is a Blazer, so I say get over it. And, CJ doesn't deserve play time over any Blazer at this point.

He did the same thing in the summer saying we should trade LaMarcus.

Yup. I defend my opinions. Sorry if it annoys you..... actually I'm not.

It would be really boring around here if we didn't have at least one person who didn't want to trade LMA.

If it helps I'll go on record to say we should trade Lillard.

Bring back Steve Blake!

Sly good hanging out with you tonight man!

Fuck Steve Blake.

Let's drag Rod Strickland out of retirement.
