Bledsoe is way better than Green.

Of all the point guards they have, Bledsoe is probably the best.
I'll be happy to take the GREEN that is GERALD off there hands, apparently he is on the market

If the blazers make a deal for Chandler, it makes me wonder if they are getting him for insurance if Wes leaves, with batum sliding to sg. Or if they like what Chandler brings, they resign wes and trade batum for bench pieces and picks. Or if all goes well they could keep all three.

One interesting part with chandler which makes me like him now over afflalo is the structure of his deal. He counts as 7 million next year, only 2 guaranteed. Kaman is similar, 5 and 1. We'd have 12 million we could send out in trade in the offseason, that a team looking to shed salary could immediately waive and spend only 3 million on. We could bring in a high salary on tree cheap potentially. Or a sign and trade as well.

good point and Chandler can IMO play SF better than Afflalo

Chandler is a better defender as well. The only thing I worry about with him over Afflalo is his inability to create his own shot. I think Afflalo is a much better "individual scorer", which is something I think we really lack coming off the bench.

Amar'e Stoudemire will join Mavs
DALLAS -- Amar'e Stoudemire has committed to joining the Dallas Mavericks, according to league sources, giving him a chance to compete for a championship and adding much-needed frontcourt depth to a Western Conference contender's bench.

Bradford Doolittle looks closer at what Amar'e Stoudemire's means for Dallas. Doolittle sees the Mavericks adding 1.5 to 2 more wins than they would have expected without Stoudemire. Story

Stoudemire, who negotiated a buyout with the New York Knicks over the weekend and was officially waived Monday, committed to the Mavs for the remainder of the season on Monday.

The contract will not become official until Stoudemire clears waivers on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, making him a free agent. His $23.4 million salary essentially makes the waivers process a formality.

RealGM.com earlier reported Stoudemire's commitment to the Mavs.

Defensive juggernauts, both. This is fitting.

Someone else sees the light....

It's good to have options. Chandler is a good insurance piece.

I thought Afflalo was the better defender...

Bledsoe is NOT a better Point Guard than Dragic.

You're entitled to your opinion, but even if you don't believe he's the best of the 3 there's no denying he's got more value than Dragic on an expiring or Jeff Green.

I think you meant "Gerald" Green?

No he meant Jeff. Jeff was mentioned earlier as a possible trade chip for Bledsoe.

Fair enough.

Denver guard Arron Affalo's market is still developing, but Portland remains the contender with the assets that could best make an eventual deal work, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. Several in pursuit – including the Clippers and Miami Heat – simply have too little to offer. …

So Woj and the Nuggets beat writer are saying Portland both has the assets and the desire to make a trade. Itd be real disappointing if something didn't get done. Still hope it's Chandler. Id also prefer Gerald Green to Afflalo.

takes two to do this tango, lets hope Denver is not wanting too much

Denver would be nuts to hold onto either one of those players. Then again it's the same front office that gave Faried 60 mil so nevermind.

Wilson Chandler is the most likely trade target. The noise right now is about Arron Afflalo, but Chandler is a. an easier contract to move and b. a more reasonable asset to trade (as in, you don't need to get huge return for him vs. Afflalo with All-Star potential). The Blazers have been chasing Chandler for months, and CSN Northwest reports they're ready right now to give up Thomas Robinson, a first-round pick, and "another player" for the wing. That "another player" is the likely hang-up, with the Blazers thinking C.J. McCollum and the Nuggets likely wanting Nicolas Batum (that's been rumored but not reported as the scenario and it makes a lot of sense).

LOL, yeah sometimes it boggles the mind what front offices don't do when they should and then do when they shouldn't

Based on that I would choose Afflalo. Unless there is a player available who is a lock down defender, then I would go with a wing who can create his own shot.

In the end, it will come down to Olshey willing to part with a 1st Round Pick or not. In the case of AA, expirings just aren't enough incentive for Denver since AA could leave at the end of the summer just as the expiring contracts would.

Also, I'd like to see a deal get done sooner rather than later so we can use these off days to get acquainted to new teammates (possibly).

LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Make the trade for Chandler with Barton and trob, then sign nate rob or jermaine oneal

Batum sucking and all, no way I'd even give him up for Chandler straight up. No way Denver thinks that's gonna happen

Seriously!
And I think there's very little (as in, zero) chance that we include CJ in the trade if we're giving up our 1st rounder. One or the other, but not both.

There's no way we move Robinson, McCollum AND a 1st for Wilson Chandler. But I've been wrong before ...

My brother is at Newark airport right now and CJ is there. What does it mean??

Shit, I'd trade T-Rob, Crabbe (would suck having to trade him but you gotta give to get) and our 1st for Chandler. The Idea of signing Nate is really exciting because he is cheap, can score with the best of them when needed and plays hard on both ends of the floor (even if he isn't a great defender).
