I'm still skeptical. The Chicago game was good, but I don't buy that it will be replicated against a team that's any good.

Maybe not, but we blew out an inferior team on their home court when we were struggling. I understand not wanting to set yourself up, but it's still early in the season. If you aren't going to be encouraged by something encouraging, what's the point?

I'm encouraged by the team finally playing a good game. At the same time, I'm still skeptical about Carmelo being a consistent integral contributor. Both can be and are simultaneously true.

Not me :(

But yes, I gave @PtldPlatypus, @Chris Craig, and @Strenuus promotions. They're doing great work.

I disagree, they really aren't available for us members. I sent them 57 private messages telling them that they do a terrible job and that they can go fuck themselves, and they have not replied ! Not even to a single one ! That's very unprofessional.

Not true. I have taken your advice to f*** myself very seriously.

It hasn't helped--I still do a terrible job. Sorry. :dunno:

Well that's just not true.... they put every single one of those messages up on the mod hall of shame wall!

I don't know that he has to be. If he does it enough and is a threat it opens up the floor a lot more for everyone else.

I think between that and the way we moved the ball, that's a pretty good reason to feel good about our chances to turn it around. Sometimes teams don't move the basketball well and then it clicks. I can't remember many occasions when a team that moved the ball well for a game or two and reverted to not passing it. BTW, that also will help Carmelo to be a significant contributor more often than not. Shooters generally can always shoot. It's the ability to get their shot and the stamina to keep the proper range and form that diminishes with age. If he can get to open spots, he's a threat, whether he's shooting well or not, and that helps everyone.

I've seen too many years of Stotts-ball to believe that the ball-movement was any more than an anomaly until I see it over an extended stretch. This homestand will tell us a lot.

In my view ball stopped moving because of an early habit of really bad passes leading to turnovers..often from guys not knowing where they need to be or expecting the dish off..passing comes with chemistry and when you turn it over and fall behind, your shooters try to shoot you back into the game....it's a work in progress when Dame scores 60 in a loss
