Just when we tire of calling her Pocahontas, a video surfaces proving she lied repeatedly about supposedly being fired from teaching because she was pregnant.

Might be the most dishonest woman in politics after Hillary.

She's low hanging fruit. Let the Dems nominate her.

lol...i know you didn't aren't you republican? must have a bit of conservative in ya.
Actually Id rather be closer to a conservative than a republican....
I'm a budget Conservative and a social Liberal.

I heard she was going to change strategy and use the trump playbook. Free education and healthcare for all and Mexico will pay for it. :biglaugh:

I remember whan Obama said he was going to change the world while Oprah was weeping in the background. It was such a sweet moment in time.

Don'tcha just love campaign promises?

Pretty hilarious a trump supporter complaining of someone else lying.

I remember when Mexico was going to pay for a big beautiful wall...and Obama was a man who brought calm and dignity to the job....Trump has brought only chaos and anger...choices. I've realized how much you love to troll but you need new bait ABM....that bait was dried up a decade ago....you are religious...I'm sure you're preacher makes you promises of an unseen afterlife and the power of prayer,,etc…..and you probably don't chastise him for it. Maybe you even shed a tear during the sermon eh? Afterwards though, you leave church feeling better about mankind....welcome to oratory 101

lol. well that doesn't really say what abm alluded to, but I would say Obama was successful in getting changes made.
He gave hope and change to multi billion dollar health insurance providers.

That abm sure is a master baiter. :abeer:

The ACA actually regulates the profit margins that the heath insurers could get from it - which is why many of them were trying hard not to participate...

It's a nice soundbite, tho. Wrong, but nice.

Please go put your tinfoil hat on. You are closing in on maris territory. :beatinto:

You know deep down Obamacare was trash.

It put a high premium on government care and made health insurance mandatory. It basically sent people running into the arms of private care providers, whether they could afford it of not.

I have eyesight (although limited) in my left eye due to Obamacare as otherwise I would be completely blind in my left eye so no, Obamacare isn't complete trash to me. Nice try though, but you need to be better informed and lose all the fabricated conspiracy theories you have bought into.

Not sure where you are getting your numbers from. I suggest going over the following for a non political sources - a statistics newspaper article penned by an academic.

I suggest you read the following:
https://www.statnews.com/2019/03/22/affordable-care-act-controls-costs/

The point made is that the ACA has basically helped slow down the unregulated price increase brought by drug price raises and the move by employers to move more and more of the cost to employees.

If anything, it basically suggests that maybe more regulation of the entire health care industry might be the ticket going forward (and given that pay twice or more as much per capita, as other western countries - for lesser health care).

I thought geriatrics were eligible for Medicare?
Anyway, Obamacare was a disaster for me. It was insanely unaffordable so I didn’t buy it. They pilfered my not-so-impressive tax return as a penalty...evidently that money went to pay for your eye, so you’re welcome.

Meanwhile my best friend bit the bullet and payed for it. Had surgery and is STILL currently $12,000 debt, due to astronomical deductibles, and has been denied multiple home loans because of it.

Fun stuff, glad it worked out for you.

I didn't realize that at 58 years old I was eligible for medicare. Do you have a link saying so? It's best to ask questions rather than make more foolish assumptions. As for your contribution to my eye surgery, I doubt your income for that year would have paid for th surgery I had let alone the little bit you had deducted from your tax return. You seem to say a lot, but provide nothing to back up your claims.

Hello kettle? This is pot. Did you know you are black?

Well good news is my emergency room bill was paid in full because of Obamacare and my insurance...I was not retired yet nor signed up to the VA...I applied for insurance in the marketplace and it was very affordable under Obama.(I lost my OSEA benefits after retiring from the school system) ..they cancelled my copay..now I use the VA..it was never hard to use the system and cost less than people probably spend on cable tv or season tickets to the Ducks...choices. I didn't agree with mandatory insurance in that deal...it was a work in progress but at least he did something for people without ways and means...there was free healthcare for the lowest income levels. Homeless people for instance could fill out the form and not have a bill ...if people should be pissed about insurance cost....take it up with the fucking insurance companies...and the pharmaceutical companies...they are raping the population. Every doctor visit is a minimum 499 bucks on a cash basis with a private clinic...even if it's only 5 minutes or the whole hour...that's a hell of a paycheck.

Sorry about that JB.
That is what happens when people suck in the pandering of power seekers that are willing to ignore the Constitution and do unConstitutional things like force people to buy insurance where the price has be grossly inflated to cover the costs of a social welfare program. Where the premiums are not set in fair business market, of mutual benefit to the seller and the buyer. The premiums were by design set to cover the costs of far more, those designated to be covered by the social welfare program. Thus the premiums you suffered were, in reality a Direct Tax far more than an insurance premium. Intentionally designed, as direct tax, prohibited specifically in the Constitution, and finally ruled as such by the SCotUS.

Many more people were screwed by this disastrous program than were ever helped. A very low point in American history. I must be remembered by all those that can grasp the awful concept.

Employers didn't, and still don't, tell a woman she is fired for being pregnant. Just like voter suppression laws don't specifically say they are intended to keep black people from voting.

And in 1971 pregnancy discrimination was still legal. But women just heard they didn't fit in with the plans.

If you don't believe it, ask a woman.

Probably this one, although I don't see Oprah:

Well, she was probably at home weeping. Or maybe she wept later, it was a delayed reaction. In any case, I'm sure the troll accurately reflected the true nature of the situation.

This is all true. The problem with Obamacare was it never addressed those problems. It instead incorporated all those bad things into a healthcare system that was mandatory.

Are you asking for a news link to a story about my friend and I’s hardships under Obamacare? Lol. Lemme see what I can find.

It was great for people who didn't have insurance and, especially, for those on the low income end of the spectrum. It was a killer for middle income earners who could barely afford the crappy insurance we had before Obamacare. I know I really enjoyed having my premiums increase by double, to about the same as my mortgage payment and property taxes combined, for insurance that was just as crappy as what I had before. And, no I couldn't keep the insurance that I had before Obamacare. It was forced out of existence by the provisions of the laughably labeled Affordable Care Act.

actually that part was in reference to the majority of your posts that have nothing to back what you say.
