Both the Warriors and the Heat probably get better. The Heat get deep and rid themselves of a checked out Jimmy. The Warriors get a theoretically rejuvenated Butler.

Now where will KD go or will he be stuck in Phoenix... that would be awkward.

That's just dumb. Now's the time to send the Warriors a player for Unprotected FRP in 2028/29
Just two more years... Not a ton of downside. With a HOF like Steph it's worth trying one last run.

They put protections on the pick and got Butler. Yeah he's older but he carried a team to the finals twice. They're not giving us an unprotected one for any of our vets lol.

They lost some depth there - and Jimmy has not been an upgrade over Wiggins so far this year. I am willing to bet they were able to extract him for such a cheap price because Jimmy did an excellent job of tanking his own value and effed the Heat in the process. (gold star from me on that front, Jimmy)

GSW is clearly going for it to try and give Steph one last run. That's not the time to be cheap with draft picks when they are so thin with able bodies after this trade.

60 Mil per year is dumb. We'll see.

And no telling what they would do, prob don't want any of our guys now but nobody knows.

It's a message board. Next time i'll put it in trade machine form.

Good post

Could and should Minnesota be trying to go all in for KD starting with Randle?
Both teams are second apron so players can't be aggregated unless they get under. Minny is 16M over the second apron and it's not that big of a concern for Phoenix because I doubt they'd be aggregating anyone with KD.

My understanding is that they'd have to dump 16M in order to aggregate and I don't see what team can take on that kind of dump... maybe multiple teams. I don't think it's even logistically possible but maybe I'm missing something.

I said this trade made both teams better but after seing what you're saying and seeing that the Heat didn't get deeper... I'm wondering if both teams got worse.

There is no more independent media. Everything is corporitized and managed.
Yeah, I knew that verbiage would be misleading. I don't care if it's "corporitized and managed" I just meant better coverage independent of the team. Sean is pretty much the only guy and he carries a lot of water for the team.

Probably won't work, but also 29 teams don't have things work. I do think this gives them a better chance even if it's still a long shot.

60 mil would be stupid for us but Warriors probably have these two years then they rebuild.

Luka got traded for an aging superstar in AD that fits needs of that team and a FRP. Let's not keep saying that Luka only yielded a FRP, it's ridiculous.
That’s all Dallas will have if AD retires in 2 years. 1 FRP.
