Seems to me that Dal could use some scoring (Ant) and LAL could use some Rim protection and Length (RW3). Now who can use Grant?

Kings

Fox wanted SA and he got it. And Sac recovers with ZL. Who are the other teams involved? What did Chicago get?

OKC and Spurs are going to be very tough for years.
You never know. After OKC played in 2012 Finals, I thought they’d be making more trips there and now it’s 2025 and still haven’t returned. Back in 2020, Suns looked to have bright future and now they suck only 5 years later. And then there’s Dallas of course. Teams fuck it up all the time.

Huerter, Zach Collins, and Tre Jones

Seems like sac got a lot of picks back, maybe one headed to us for Grant?

LaVine and three firsts for Fox seems decent.

But those picks might not be all that good.
One of the first turns into 2 2nds after this year. The other is a 2027 first. They better hope that wolves pick is good. Cause it’s 2 firsts and 5 seconds with one of those firsts being bad.

I’ll take 2 2s for Grant.

Really? Seems like about a month ago when it was being reported that literally nobody wanted Zach Lavine.

Mind you, I was never super high on D'Aaron Fox, so... who gives a shit.

[Just seen that one of the picks is the Hornets' 2025 pick! If that's unprotected, that may end up being the most important thing in the trade.]

We don't sell vacuums here.

It sure seems like the Spurs didn’t give up much at all.

on deeper eval....

2025 top 14 protected from CHA --> becomes 2 future seconds
2027 unprotected from SAS
2031 unprotected from MIN

not great. that 2031 pick might be something.

the charlotte pick is top 14 protected and converts to seconds after this year so it’s not a real first.

Lavine, 2027 spurs pick which is gonna be bad, and 2031 Minnesota which might be good, for a top 25 player seems like a horrible return imo.

Because he looked good next to LBJ and AD? You think if he was on the Blazers he would be worth as much? Maybe but I don't see him as a PG on many teams. And he is not better than Sharpe at SG
So to me, he is not worth that much. It all comes down to need. And what the Lakers need is a center.
Reaves looked great on his own for a couple years now. He helped that team get the WCF. Way more clutch in the playoffs than AD. I was shocked the Spurs didn't offer him more a year and a half ago when he was a free agent.

agree.

hence this post from the kings subreddit.

So I guess some FRPs are still going to be traded after all.

one pick is the 2025 Charlotte pick which will not convey since it's lottery protected and then goes to 2 seconds

the 2nd pick is the 2027 Spurs first which will likely be in the 20's

the last is the 2031 Minny 1st so who knows how good that will be

******************************************************

Zach Collins had nearly disappeared from the Spurs before the trade; he's averaging less than 5 points and 3 rebounds in less than 12 minutes
