Rui and Deni played together in Washington.Rui makes more sense for both teams. To me, they have a similar skill set. Rui shot 42% from 3 this year.
For defense and hustle, they keep Vanderbilt and his long but team-friendly contract, and we get more minutes to play Camara.
True, but they were also generally behind Kuzma and Washington. It would be a different relationship here if Grant is traded for Rui, in that both Rui and Deni would be starting.Rui and Deni played together in Washington.
It's nice to have someone that can shoot without being a chucker like Grant is.
why is Grant a chucker and Ant isn't?
FGA/game: Ant 18.2....Grant 15.7
FGA/100-possessions: Ant 26.1....Grant 22.9
Usage Rate: Ant 28%....Grant 25.7%
TS%: Ant .568....Grant .573
per game, Ant scored 1.6 more points on 2.5 more shots. Per 100-possessions, Ant scored 1.9 more points on 3.2 more shots. Ant scored 1.24 points/shot; Grant scored 1.33 points/shot. In Dame's last season in Portland he averaged 1.55 points/shot
I think Grant is more prone to put hoist up bad shots with time on the shot clock. Ant does shoot a lot, but it seems more within the offense. His TS% will improve once he learns to drive more and get to the foul line.
sorry....I think your bias may be showing. Ant takes 69% of his shots in the first 15 seconds of the shot clock; Grant takes 68%. If Grant was taking worse shots early, he wouldn't have a better TS%

as far as your theory of Ant improving his TS% by getting to the FT line: his FT rate climbed from .171 to .213 this season. But his TS% dropped from .581 to .568
So much for "team ball".Pretty sure it was reported multiple times last season that Billups was pressuring Grant to jack up more shots.
Still, TS% is weighted by FTr. eFG is not, and Ant's .523 was slightly higher than Grant's .516 last year.sorry....I think your bias may be showing. no... that was blabber Haberstoh hoping Ayton would start launching from deep. Those 30 & 18's weren't good enough for Tom. He wanted the bonus points on his fantasy team.Pretty sure it was reported multiple times last season that Billups was pressuring Grant to jack up more shots.
Chaincey said that knowing he would be our best if not 2nd best scorer for 2023-2024. It was more stating the obvious like daying Jeramin is gunna have to carry the scoring load with Dame gonePretty sure it was reported multiple times last season that Billups was pressuring Grant to jack up more shots.
Take this with a grain of salt. No idea how credible this info is.

It's summarizing what Irwin is saying here.
He also just mentioned that Portland doesn't want to sell low on Rob Williams. So no point trading him unless someone is paying legit value for him.

I doubt Gabe has any value. I would anticipate that you'd have to pay to dump his contractSo worst case scenario we keep Rui and trade Gabe. What can we get for him? He is not a bad player. Maybe two 2nds?
Get a 1st and a couple of 2nds from LA and you end up with a 1st and 3 2nds and Hachimora?
It is still better than letting him walk instead of not signing him. But I say no.
Good info in his thread.
Definitely does not read like he's making info up.
It looks like Gabe+1st would be included in the trade regardless. The question is DLo or Rui.
Personally, Id prefer Rui to try and flip.
If they're wanting a big to move AD to the 4, we can throw in Reath fir the extra pick
So you think Rui is easier to flip? It's hard to believe DLO has fallen this far.
IMO, both Rui and DLo have value, which is why the deals mentioned in the LakersSupply tweets include one or the other, but not both. If LA included both, and a pick, I wouldn't be surprised if Cronin would be able to flip each for even more draft capital.
