OT ...Trump...beginning of the end?

fwiw, if Trump does not secure the nomination ahead of time or if he does not win it on the first ballot, he is screwed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hear ya loud and clear and this hasn't been a secret.
We know the GOP wants him OUT.
But (imo) the probable results of the GOP convention is going to leave them between a rock and a hard place as Trump HAS energized the GOP turnout and if, if he is turned away while having a large delegate lead, there's going to be ALOT of GOP voters, possible crossovers / Independents and blue collars staying home in disappointment and anger harming Cruz (?) and giving Hillary a relatively easy victory.
The 1976 GOP convention wasn't similiar with totally different dynamics.
Ford was already a sitting President
entering the convention with approx 1180 delegates to Reagan's 1069......."close" but Ford's victory/selection was quite understandable and reasonable in retrospect.
My opinion, if Trump gets ousted at the convention while having a very sizeable delegate lead AND not far from the 1237 -- Cruz, or whomever the choice is will suffer because of the legions of Trump voters staying HOME on election day.
Hey, who knows, maybe Cruz will surge and pull even or take a lead over Trump in the coming primaries. We'll see how things turn out.
I'm still waiting for the next chapter to be written in the book titled How the Witch Gets Away With It. In my opinion this "investigation" has been nothing more than a sideshow. Just in time for her crowning in June they will come out and tell us that there's no criminality in anything Hillary did and there's no evidence to suggest an indictment.
Congrats guys. This is the most active thread in board history.
WOW, now that IS Amazing, and we're just getting started. Like You said, "I'm still waiting for the next chapter to be written in the book titled How the Witch Gets Away With It".
That is a new chapter, lets tear her lying, fraudulent, flip flopping charade or campaign & life apart. IMO, this entire FBI investigation, has become a joke, tho' I've always wanted it to result in real justice, not the dog and pony show it is.
Hillary is at such a high level, seems the rules don't apply, yet for those in much lower white collar or blue, with lesser offenses, would definitely serve time, with immediate prosecutions. I've seen it happen to a few people, who've mishandled TSAR (Top Secret Access Required) documents. One of several offenders, I worked around, is spending 60 years time in Leavenworth, with chance of parole after 40, he will be 76 if he makes it out...and that's just the tip of the No-bel iceberg...
Had this case been exposed a year earlier, even with a guilty prosecution, Obuma would of pardoned, her, or IMO has done what he does best behind closed doors, make sure she's not prosecuted...jest a thought, I'm working on (without hurting myself)...
Trump has jumped the shark. Sad thing is that he knows it, his campaign knows it but his sheep fans aren't getting the message.
He really screwed himself on the loyalty pledge, his SC delegates won't survive challenge before the first convention vote and expect them to stream to Cruz and Kasich.
Trump also recently publicly ripped at his campaign mgr after the abortion debacle with MSNBC. It really exposed his as the power that most of us know he is. He's not pro-life, he's playing a pro-life character and doing a shitty job at it. You can't just wing policy and issues the way he does and it's costing him dearly.
The Donald Trump of the last week is the exact same Donald Trump many of us saw a year ago or five years ago. He’s always been full of sh*t. He’s always been a total ignoramus when it comes to public policy, lacking the simple sense of patriotic duty to do his homework on the issues. He’s always been a nasty and boorish cad. He’s always pretended to be a conservative while working on liberal assumptions of what conservatives want to hear.
...Matts, did you notice there was no dispute of anything Kasich said?...wonder why?...the fact is everything Kasich said is true.
...also getting a laugh at comparing Reagan to Trump at any level.
If there's one thing I'd look forward to if both Trump & Clinton get there party's nomination it would be the joy of watching Trump rip Hilary a new asshole. Because you just know that he'll go after her with both barrels & over turn every rock she's been involved with.
Well said Rick- and I believe the last person the Hillary camp wants to face in a campaign is Trump.
By the way, have you heard about Cruz (4/1/16) calling for a National Law to cripple labor unions? He says he was inspired by Wisconsin Gov Scott Walker who has been a champion of busting unions in Wisconsin.
The same Scott Walker who has an approval rating hovering around 38-40%.
But Teddy does have a slightly better chance of beating Hillary than Walker...after all, Walker is no longer in the race.
And yet the shmuckleberries from Wisconsin have Cruz with a 10 point lead in the latest poll for Tuesday's primary. :rotfl:
And then we have the "clown" who isn't prepared and would be a disgrace and an embarrassment to our country and to "world leaders" ⬅lmao
And here's a piece from another article on Trump's "populism" and connection with the average blue collar regular working stiff........unknown territory to way-out Ted......
...he may be to the right of Attila the Hun.
Unelectable for President.
Good luck trying to win big cities which play a large part in carrying the "big" states.
ELECTION 2016
Union Members Gravitating Toward Trump Amid Tough Talk On Trade And Immigration
BY COLE STANGLER @COLESTANGLER ON 03/08/16 AT 9:25 AM
As primaries and caucuses have illustrated thus far, voters across the country are drawn to the GOP front-runner’s populist rhetoric and tough talk on trade — both of which are pillars of many embattled U.S. labor unions. Come November, some Democrats and labor officials worry that Trump could capture a large chunk of the union vote, historically a vital part of the Democratic electoral coalition.
Mary Kay Henry, president of the 2 million-member Service Employees International Union, acknowledged as much in a recent interview. "I am deeply concerned about what is stirring, even in our membership ... where our members are responding to Trump's message," shetold former Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod in a January interview.
The head of the AFL-CIO, the nation's largest labor federation, struck a similar chord in a speech earlier this month: "Donald Trump is tapping into the very real and very understandable anger of working people," Richard Trumka told a gathering of construction unionists. "When Trump says we’re losing, his message resonates with some folks. And when he yells or lashes out, he finds a sympathetic audience who wishes more politicians would express the frustration they feel."
Larry Cohen, a former president of the Communications Workers of America union who recently became a labor adviser to Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders' campaign, told International Business Times he has witnessed firsthand how Trump’s rhetoric resonates with some union members on the campaign trail. Without Sanders and his brand of left-wing populism in the race, rank-and-file support for Trump would be even greater, he said
...wow, talk about double standards...but OK, I'll play.
...gotta love how polls/approval ratings somehow apply to everyone except Trump...and gotta love how people in Wisconson are labeled "shmuckleberries" only because they prefer Cruz...no coherent reasoning whatsoever, just name calling...same inane logic and mindless strategy that Trump uses.
...also love citing an obscure article from the "International Business Times" (lol) which applauds Trump while ignoring the plethora of articles from the same site which also downplays Trump.
#NEVERTRUMP
His behavior towards Wisconsin unfortunately is expected. It's the primary that seals his fate and he can't WIN.
Holy Flying Cheetos Batman, those are a shit load of links, you'll have me reading all day, but I will take it....
So Non-Trump peeps are: "shmuckleberries"; Lmao....I'd rather be His Huckleberry....
Chump would first insult every world leader, advancing this nation towards Armageddon, or maybe they'd only go after Chump, not the Citizens who can't stand the Fraud in Billy Goat Clothing, ....
I hope to hell, when the GOP Convention is Brokered, and Chump is out, someone of importance stands at the podium, and says: "Donald, Your Fired"....!!!
No 1237 delegates, no first BALLOT win. Trump is one (BALLOT) and done.
But let me put this in language Trump fans can understand.. .
No tikkie no washie.
I've read: (to repeat myself)- "Beat Trump in Wisconsin, in Indiana, and in Nebraska, split the delegates in Oregon and Washington, defeat him in South Dakota, Montana, and California, and he’ll fall short".
Chumps going to fall flat on his face prior to these states, and non of this will be necessary. I envision a Chump who says to himself, I wish I'd never of done this deal.....but I doubt he's that humble or honest with himself, brain wired with no permits...and not to codes or spec's...
After Wisconsin he'll need 60% of the remain delegates.... It's a bridge to far, he can't break 40. Plus he screwed himself on SC plus another 6-7 States that already selected delegates loyal to Cruz but pledged to Trump on 1st BALLOT.
There are no RNC rules that forces delegates to vote for Trump on first BALLOT except if he has 1237 by June8 (day after last primary).
And I've heard rumor that one of the rules the rules committee is going to try an enact will be the unbinding of delegates that were apportioned due to non-GOP primaries, where there were a lot of loyal Dem shenanigans crossing over to vote for Trump. National polls bear out these people are not new to GOP, but instead loyal to Hillary.
Sorry but the RNC isn't going to let the Dems pick their candidate.
PS: someone did not get the Memo. Unions are no longer necessary, rather a fly on a horses ass, sucking blood out of hard working folks, and getting nothing in return.....collective bargaining is a thing of the past, check your calendar its 2016, not 1916...
...^^^ yup, not only are unions becoming obsolete, they don't carry that much weight anymore.
...and Tote, you're right, Trump has realized that he needs those "schmuckleberries"...that's why he's spent so much of his money there recently...but I think it's too late...he's screwed.
Last debate over Union's I had a heated discussion with a UAW Union Steward. Arguement ended the next day, after I watched the bastard drive out of the parking lot in a Fkng Fiat, while I sat in my 1969 Chevy PU....motherfkrnlyingleeches...!!! slam dunk on his pointless points...
#1) I am not being hypocritical or applying double standards.
You don't see the difference between polls which are a week or days before an election such as Tuesday's Wisconsin primary having Cruz leading by 10 points, and polls regarding an election seven months away? I'll gladly wager in favor of a "poll" which pertains to an election which is days away- and I have little respect for "polls" for an election which is more than a half year away! Sorry.
There will be approx three solid months of "campaigning" after the GOP Convention in July......plenty of time for an underdog to chip away at the opponent - imo, it's not unreasonable or unrealistic to suggest or believe a candidate in three months of campaigning can drastically narrow a large deficit in the polls and/or possibly WIN the election.
And of course to be fair, also plenty of time for Queen Hillary (and her media accessories).
If you currently want to put the same stock in the two "polls" (Wisconsin and November Prez election), be my guest, it's your prerogative.
Yeah, I called those Wisconsonites giving Cruz a 10 point lead: shmuckleberries. They're endorsing the candidate who has the same Union busting policy as their Governor who has one of the lowest favorable ratings amoung all Governors mainly due to his anti labor union/municipal union actions.
#2) The article and excerpt I brought up was to help point out how Trump (imo, and many others) is more able, capable, and already demonstrated to be better than Cruz at attracting blue collar workers, union members , and Labor Unions. Care to debate this? Nah.
#3) as for Trump breaking his pledge to the RNC, he shouldn't have signed it in the first place as it was common knowledge from the beginning the RNC could barely resist stabbing him in the back and spending millions and millions of $ used to attack him in negative ads, ect.
And by the way, neither Cruz or Kasich has said they would support Trump if he were the Nominee.......classic hypocrites playing both ends.
http://www.infowars.com/walker-will-endorse-cruz-in-wisc-push/
#4) have you forgotten? a Cruz Super Pac first fired the skumbag cheap shot at Trump's wife publishing a provocative photo of Trump’s wife, Melania, a former model, and Trump retaliating by tweeting an unflattering photo of Cruz’s wife, Heidi.
(hey Teddy, you're fucking with a heavyweight from NY)
lol
#5) You're now quoting Obama's remarks criticizing Trump because Trump believes NATO is close to being obsolete and he (Trump) has a problem with the U.S. funding 73% of the money towards those fair weather allies?.....lmaooo
#6) I'll use the words of one the links you provide:
Trump:
...our allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization "are not paying their fair share" and called the 28-nation alliance "obsolete."
"Either they pay up, including for past deficiencies, or they have to get out. And if it breaks up NATO, it breaks up NATO," Trump said.
"We take care of Saudi Arabia. Now nobody’s going to mess with Saudi Arabia because we’re watching them," he said.
"They’re not paying us a fair price. We’re losing our shirt," he said.
'59, I don't know how you feel, but I don't see anything wrong with those comments.
Fear not, you'll see how fast the rest of NATO falls in line, looks in the mirror and comes up with their fair share.
And when he speaks of Nukes, and how he will NOT remove any "cards from table" .....don't these people realize he is already exercising leadership and letting it be known to our enemies and adversaries that the U.S knows, and will consider all of it's options.
#7) Trump suggests the possibility of Japan and/or South Korea having Nukes to protect themselves and lighten the U.S. load -
Maybe it isn't such a horrific idea having Japan and South Korea balancing out things with those commie dogs of North Korea and China.
Jeez, does everyone live in Candy Land?
John Kasich likes to say "he's the adult in the room" - lol
Kasich (imo) is already thought of by the "world" as the soft indecisive candidate......I'm sure Europe, our enemies and the rest of THE WORLD really likes him.
Finally, something for the mainstream media, and all of the sane, rational, responsible, level-headed and civil grown-ups... (and Hillary).
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty".
Sounds like a guy who welcomes hordes of imported cheap labor. You smell like one of those "small businessmen" who like to pay in peanuts and fire people for being late once.
Does this mean you're still convinced that predicted results from polls for elections seven months from now are just as likely to hold true as those for elections a couple of days from now? And Ted Cruz has garnered, and will continue to receive more votes than Trump from different "groups" ranging from blue collar workers to businessmen?
