Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about. Ukraine's military uniform is littered with Nazi symbolism. The current regimes embrace of Nazism and war criminals like Bandara was part of the original tension that lead to to people in the eastern regions wanting to separate for Ukriane.
Heck, even the NY times reports on it. Putin has stated that outsting these Nazi's is one of the key objectives.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/05/world/europe/nazi-symbols-ukraine.html
That relationship has become especially delicate because President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia has falsely declared Ukraine to be a Nazi state, a claim he has used to justify his illegal invasion.
Ukraine has worked for years through legislation and military restructuring to contain a fringe far-right movement whose members proudly wear symbols steeped in Nazi history
And so many short-sighted people cheered for Ukraine's invasion.
A guy on X posted this today, apparently not realizing it was from 2022, just before the invasion. But it's kind of interesting to look back and see how this group of retired military tried to warn Putin of his folly.
"Retired Russian Colonel-General Leonid Ivashov, the head of the All-Russian Officers Assembly, has gone public with a statement that calls for Russian President Vladimir Putin to resign over the confrontation involving Ukraine. To remove any doubt as to his message, Ivashov, 78, followed the public statement with an interview on a liberal Russian media outlet, Echo Moskvy, insisting that he was speaking in the name of the assembly of retired and reservist Russian officers which he heads. "
"To be clear, Ivashov believes that NATO is a hostile power, but his experience has taught him that the NATO/U.S. threat is under control and no external threat is imminent from the Western powers. The massive buildup of Russian troops on the Ukraine and Belarus borders, therefore, is not to deal with a threat from the West. Rather, it is to divert attention from the internal health, demographic challenges, living-standards collapse and pervasive corruption that the Russian citizenry is suffering under the mismanagement of an incompetent Putin regime. "
Ivashov’s solution: Fire Putin if he can’t be forced to resign and, if necessary, put him in prison for his “criminal policy of provoking war.”

I don't think so. he has too many tough friends in present and retired military.Has Ivashov fallen out of window yet?
You are in la-la land. Banking on the idea that the Russians are bluffing, oh, their missiles aren't going to work. Stop and listen to yourself. This isn't a game.
Russia has nuclear submarines off our coast that could pop up and launch a barrage of missiles and we have a 0% chance of intercepting them all.
It's like picking a fight with someone who has a gun right at your head that you have no possibility to deflect. You can't win the fight, because even if you do, they'll just pull the trigger.
The only winning move is not to play. Listen to Matthew Broderick on this one.
Hoping Ukraine surrenders soon. The sooner this is over, the safer the rest of the world will be.
Most people are like cattle, grazing in the field, going about their business, not knowing they're going to the slaughter the following day. We were a second a way from a nuclear holocaust last Saturday. If US leadership had not refused Blinken's insane plan to attack Russia with precision missiles, the world as you know it now would be over.
We aren't too close to any particular nuclear targets, so we'd probably be facing a slow painful death from the radiation and starvation.
And if you don't think the threat is serious, then why did we pull back?
Fifty years ago, I was a missile launch officer in the Minuteman III program based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. At that time, practically in the dark ages of electronic miniaturization and navigation, our warheads had a circular error probable (the area in which at least 50% of the warheads were expected to fall) of roughly one city block. This accuracy allowed our warheads to be much smaller than the Soviets’ because they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. We knew without doubt that our technology in that day would work because we tested it. Every so often, a missile was selected at random, pulled out of its silo, carted to Vandenburg AFB, had the warheads removed, and was then test fired by the launch crew who had been on duty that day. I never heard of a failure in the test program. I can guarantee you that our accuracy is much, much greater today. Russia’s nuclear arsenal is not to be dismissed lightly, but he knows there are land, sea and air based systems from multiple countries that would end his existence if he were foolish enough to actually attack NATO.

We don't need nukes. You should understand the concept of mutual assured destruction. We would blow Russia off the map, but they'd take us as well.
No one that understands anything about nuclear war believes any one side could intercept enough to make a difference.
The psychology of downplaying this threat in order to be able to continue to support your tribe's insane stance is amazing.

pretty sure Russia could withdraw and it would be over just as quickly.Hoping Ukraine surrenders soon. The sooner this is over, the safer the rest of the world will be.

They will (if nuclear war doesn't break out). Mark my words. Then we'll all see who's been right this whole time.News flash: They aren't going to surrender.
