Way too early trade suggestions (1 Viewer)

I’m probably in minority I think Giannis gets traded, and I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if we got him. We have everything Bucks need for rebuild, good young players Scoot or Sharpe maybe Toumani , plus their draft picks they desperately need back for a rebuild.

Scoot or Sharpe (prefer to keep Sharpe) large contract of Grant maybe Williams plus their picks back. Scoot or Sharpe is nice young building block to start their rebuild.

With Deni proving he can be an elite player with Dame/Jrue, Clingan, Tou or Sharpe. That’s a dangerous team that can compete with any team in NBA. Defensively we’d be scary and have enough shooters around that they couldn’t key in any one player without fear of another player hurting them offensively. That’s a championship caliber team with only concern being whether Giannis would play here. Talent wise and relationship he has with both Jrue and Dame I think he’d be interested

Forgot to mention why I think he gets traded I think the other night when he got booed is tipping point for him. He didn’t like it and even booed fans back
I have a hard time thinking that Giannis and Deni pairing would be anything but a disaster. They both want the ball, both need the ball, and both play from the same floor positions. The spacing would be terrible and it would be one of those 'it's-my-turn-it's-your-turn-it's-my-turn-again' synergies that just doesn't work like anybody would want

MIL ain’t gonna trade giannis to POR without getting Deni back. Nfw.

Fischer is saying the Blazers could be sneaky buyers.

Put a bookmark in this, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Blazers move on from Scoot at the deadline or in the off-season.
How much you want to bet? Because whatever it is, I'll take that bet.

There's absolutely no fucking way.

Bucks are going to try to please him at the deadline. It will fail. Then he'll do a Dame and quietly demand to be traded in the offseason.

I still don't understand the whole idea of trading to both get older while simultaneously giving up future draft capital. I don't see a deal out there that accomplishes that while making the Blazers a top-five team in the West. Basically, it'd be like going back to Dame's last couple of years in his first stint in Portland, except the team would be about ready to age out and drop way to the bottom much sooner -- without the picks to build back.

It'd be like building a nostalgia team. Sure, it might be nice to say people saw Dame and Giannis play together as Blazers, but that's not a team built to probably get to the Western semis. It's just an attraction that's about to be shut down.

I think you can do both while only giving up scoot and few of Bucks draft picks. I mean I’d be ok with Jaren Jackson but don’t think they trade him.

I hope we see something like Jerami and Rupes for Kuminga and Moody.

Get younger, a little deeper and see if some of the young players can get better.

1. Jackson doesn't make the Blazers that much better, and I think Scoot still has a future with the Blazers, although most seem to just want to jettison him.

2. Giving up the Bucks picks right when the Bucks picks will be most valuable leaves the Blazers trying to replace Dame, Jrue and Grant with no way to do that, unless maybe you think bringing in Jackson opens the door to immediately deal Grant. You don't have Scoot coming into his own.

Love and Sidy are fast approaching the 50 game maximum, so there has to be a trade brewing to dump two guaranteed contracts to sign them, right?
I wonder if ATL would be interested in:
Grant & Thybulle for Porzingis, Kenard and a future 1st.

Porzingis and Kenard are expiring, so we could waive them and sign Caleb and Sidy to guaranteed contracts, right?

Would Kuminga slot in as a 6th man here? If he's OK with that role, I'd love to take a shot at him. There's 30 mpg for him if he wants but I dont want him starting in front of either Deni or Tou.
I would think he'd be good with a role as the third guy in a mostly three man rotation at forward with Tou and Deni. If he gets 30 minutes here that's a huge difference from the ups and downs he has had with Kerr.

My ideas at this point are Jerami and Rupes for Kuminga and Moody. I'd like to see us trade Jrue, Rob and Tisse in separate trades or in combination for young players, expiring contracts, draft assets and cap space to rework Deni's deal.

I have a controversial idea. As much as I like Donovan I'd move him for a more mobile C. If Alex Sarr is an option I'd love it if that deal happened and I would be willing to add draft capital (not a lot) to make it happen.

If none of the deals mentioned are brining in less players than we send out then I'd like to see us move any two of Duop, Kris and Rupes to a team that wants to take a flyer on them for a second rounder, even if it's one with protections so we can open up two roster spots for Sidy and Caleb.

Everything I've heard is that he wants to be a star.

Kuminga could be a Deni-like steal.

His calling card in terms up ceiling is a versatile POA defender who you can throw at positions 1-4.

Do it!
Golden State has been trying to make him that for 4 years. Why would it be any different here?

Honestly, I get Ayton like vibes from Kuminga. Don't want him, but his contract expires after this season so as a dump I wouldn't mind taking a flyer.

If he was that, he'd be getting minutes for Golden State. Remember when Kerr was being blamed for holding Wiseman back?

Team option which is even better. We can dump him or keep him another year.

Scoot, Camara, Rupert, 2 FRP & their picks back. Giannis reunites with the PG he won a championship with. Deni would be the best two way player he has ever played with and he would contend this year:

Jrue/Sharpe/Deni/Giannis/Clingan

Bench: Love, Cissoko, Murray, RW3, Grant, Tisse, Wesley, Reath

Giannis and Deni would be a disaster together....oil and water

I don't see why. Giannis is still dominant. Deni can space the floor when their together.

Although Camara would be much better to keep with that roster instead of Sharpe.

The main issue is we gut our youth, lose a half decade of picks, and still aren't a contender.

I'd rather just stand pat. Try to get off Jrue or Grant contact if any other teams interested. Continue to develop our youth and swing for a good starter with the picks.

Kuminga reminds me more of Darius Miles. I'd be fine taking a flyer on him if the cost isn't too much. But we shouldn't hand him a big long term contract even if he looks great here for a couple months.
