Interesting idea. I like both players in their roles, but I'm not sure they do much to raise our ceiling. We might be a team 9 deep with solid "B" level players, but without sufficient high-end talent to actually make some real noise.

Milwaukee would get their pick back and the two swaps cancelled. Maybe MN has to give a second round pick to us or MIL for getting Love; they are really desperate for a PG with more zing than Conley; Dillingham has really not worked out.

The 2030s Warriors picks are undoubtedly appealing. The issue that the talking heads seem to ignore is that the Bucks would need to wait four years to really benefit. All the while they'd be a bad team without any of the few perks of being bad. Not quite the unmatchable deal that it may first seem.

Yeah I don't want Giannis either and I like the idea of us getting Naz and Jaden but I wouldn't overpay for them by more than double their value just to facilitate Giannis going to a team we have to play like 4 times a season.

I would consider a deal where we send out both Bucks swaps in 2028 and 2030 along with Jerami and Rob for Naz and Jaden and let the Wolves figure out the rest but as I'm assuming you've learned the Wolves have no tradable FRPs; they've leveraged them all to assemble the team the already have. So I doubt there is a deal there.

I see no reason to help the Bucks. Let them go into rebuild and we can trade picks later when we want to trade them. Cronin didn’t bend to Dame’s demands to go to Miami. He has no reason to give the Bucks their picks back. Unless we are actually getting a player we covet, hold em.

This is my concern as well. While no one would turn down a #13 for #8 draft pick swap, I wouldn't exactly call it a "prime" asset. And for as bad as folks think the Bucks will be post-Giannis, if they are a team, for instance, with a 1) Kuminga, Podz, and Moody added to their current roster; 2) no incentive to tank; and 3) playing in the East; it's quite possible they could end up in that #9-to-11 range in any given year. There is always the possibility that the pick moves up in a given draft of course, but you'd be really taking your chances.

As such, I think it is important to stay balanced with regard to the pick valuation. They are certainly not nothing (even given the scenario above with no lottery luck), but they are also not sure-fire top picks eithers if they remain in Blazers hands. Of course, you don't need to give all of them up in a transaction either. Honestly, the flexibility and variability are what makes this kind of exciting.

Rebuild to something meaningful? No. But stay "relevant" as the #10/11 seed in the East with a KAT/others added to the roster or Herro/Wiggins/etc.? I could definitely see that.

I'd be shocked if they actually did that. NY has no picks at all. Kinda feels similar to when we were looking to trade Dame. The Bucks need to wait this out. Or maybe they do Giannis a solid because he got them a ring and they take back shit. This will be interesting to watch, for sure.
