Murphy or Jones would need to come with pick 14 and a future first for it to make sense for us to give them pick 3. Actually I don't think you can trade the third pick in this draft if you aren't getting back an all star or a young potential all star and a future pick... I guess Murphy and Jones could qualify as that but really maybe both of them, pick 14 and a future first.

holy shit you guys!!

Murphy is NOT worth the 3rd pick, not at this time, not even close. Don't be talked into that dumb sell-low trade, even if the Pels are kicking 2-3 more first's Portland's direction

if the Blazers are trading the 3rd pick they HAVE to do better than a one-dimensional player like Murphy even if he is an excellent shooter

personally, when I look at the injury history of Ingram, I'm not even sure I'd do 3 for Ingram unless a little more was coming back to Portland

I said Murphy AND Ingram

or Herb AND Ingram...

I'd probably want their pick too...

There is a universe where neither Murphy nor Jones even sniff a single all star game. All likelihood.... this is that universe.

This kinda return would be insanely low for #3.

Ingrahm has NEVER started over 62 games in his entire career. It's a whole bunch of 40's and 50's. Good scorer, not much of a rebounder, good passer, and about average defense. I am NOT trading the #3 for a guy who starts around 60% of games for his career.

If the Blazers make a move with the Pels, it will be for Zion. I'm hoping for Siakam & DeRozan, or Bridges & Claxton . With some other supporting moves. But i do find the Zion thing interesting because, if, and it's a big if, he can stay healthy for 2 to 3 years, i think a team with Dame & Zion gets a Championship.

Lol I'm not taking Herb and Murphy for #3.

They gotta give up Ingram or Zion, 110% or I'm not taking the call

Very good player....when he is on the court. But he has played 114 games in 4 seasons. That is brutal! And when do players get in better shape and more disciplined AFTER they get the big money contract? Even with his talent, he scares the hell out of me.

Might be our only option.

So far this is the only rumor that has even implied any of the wings we are looking for are available.

Siakam - nothing
Bridges - nothing
Brown - nothing

I'd take almost any of them over Ingram but ... no indication that any of them are going to be available

think the bridges stuff will resurface next week. there is no way sean marks thinks mikal is a guy you can build around -- he went insane for them to close the year but he also very clearly established that he's not a go-to player for a winning team.

all this stuff about him being untouchable, i'm not buying.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed Charlotte takes Miller, and Brooklyn has a jones for Scoot.

I'm not trading Scoot or Miller for role players no matter how much I like Troy Murphy or Herb Jones.

Bridges was very nice on a crappy Nets team, but they didn't win. When he was with the Suns, he was the 4th option. Not sure that a few weeks of free lancing on a garbage team not winning games makes him the 2nd coming that the Nets fans/media seem to think.

Yeah I feel like people forgot that he really wasn’t that spectacular on Phoenix.

I agree with this but I could see a trade and maybe it would need a third team but we send out Ant, Nurk and pick 3 and we get back Bridges, Claxton and pick 21. I do not think Bridges is on the level of a guy that you need to give up the third pick for but if we got back Claxton and another first rounder then I could see it being worth it.

It could actually just be this.

If that's our only option then you keep the pick. It's really not even a hard decision.

Just saw this suggestion on another site. Not sure I am all in on Zion, he is a stud when he plays, the problem is he is in street clothes more then a uniform.

The trade Pelicans must offer Blazers to get No. 3 pick
Blazers receive: Zion Williamson, future first-round pick (via Pelicans)

Pelicans receive: No. 2 pick, No. 3 pick, No. 23 pick

Hornets: Anfernee Simons, Herb Jones, No. 14 pick

This guy says he talked to someone from Portland and they don't think BI alone is enough. Zion would be worth the risk. No idea if he has any real sources or just speculation.

No way am I taking on the "shot-in-the-dark" that is Zion Williamson for the Ant, the #3, and #23 without receiving a ton more compensation than a future first. And secondly, no way Charlotte is trading the #2 pick for Ant, Herb, and #14.

It's not that simple.

Let's just say the pick is Scoot, as this scenario portrays.

Let's just say, hypothetically, Dame recognizes Scoot doesn't do jackshit for this team and it's goal to win *now* in comparison to B.I.

(A backup guard, at Dame's position, who doesn't play defense doesn't solve any of our primary issues at the moment, particularly "starting 3/4")

So do you "just keep the pick" even though it means Dame is gonna "have a "different type" of conversation" with management? Which most likely means "trade me"?

DeRozan is going to be 34 in two months and has a LOT of minutes played in the last couple of years. I find it hard to believe anyone would trust in him, either.

Yep, I don't see Ingram as a long-term fit. I'd rather address the immediate (and appease Lillard) while hedging with an upside future asset somehow. The short of it is that I don't think Ingram as a ton better than Derozan for the next two years (although he is marginally better), and it's unlikely from my vantage point that Ingram would be around long-term as a great fit with Shaedon.

Tough call at this point. Has either worked out for them yet?
Scoot has last weekend. Miller apparentl scheduled for today. They've both been closed door with no media or interviews. They're certainly playing this close to the chest, but I think the Miller stuff now is strictly a smokescreen.

I heard this last night and thought he meant he talked to Portland media (maybe his locked on counterpart in Richman). Doubt this guy from NO has any sources of significance in the Portland FO.
